Toy soldier

I made this card last night before bed and I used white card stock to stamp the Tim Holtz Toy Soldier image and coloured it with Faber-Castille watercolour pencils, I cut a frame from Christmas paper and used a small reindeer, I think it was from a punch, my friend Helen gave it to me several years ago, I just used a black pen for the eye, and I used a Marianne Creatable cutting die LR0107 for the flowers and cut them out of scrap paper, trying to use up all the scraps before I use my new papers. On the insert I used a Tim Holtz texture fade "Holiday words" set, and used a Tim  Holtz embossing diffuser, to make a place to write the message.   When I made the envelope I embossed it with Tim's emb folder "December Calender" and used the diffuser so that there is room to write the address, and I highlighted "December" and "25" in red Memento ink.

butterflies

Here is another card I made today with scraps from my scrap box, I'm trying to use up as much as I can before I use my new papers.   This one I used my new butterfly punch I bought from China, the embellishment is from an old Fiskars stamp set. and the papers are various from my stash.   I really like this style of card.

Christmas Elf

This little 3" X 3" card, with this little stamped elf was made for the Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge number 31, "mini cards"  http://christmasstampin.blogspot.com.au .  I used white cardstock covered with a snowflake paper that I found in my stash with ann Elf which was a free stamp set that was with a Christmas kit last year, I stamped him out in various papers and paper pierced his hat, top and shoes, I used Faber-castile water colour pencils to colour his pants, collar, hair and skin.   I used a Quickutz cutting die out the "Joy" Christmas set for the HoHoHo.

Christmas Greetings

Here is this evening's Christmas card,, it is also using some last years Christmas paper, I also used mpress cutting die "Frizzy Circle", and the stamps I used were from the Vintage Santa set, item number 93884 from www.sullivans.net , the red glittery ribbon is also a left over, I had fun making this card.

Merry Christmas

This is this morning's first card - a Christmas card made with scrap papers left over from Christmases past - I used the Sizzex embossing folder Snow and Trees and a button I pulled out of the button box, the rest were things from my stash of bits and pieces - the sketch came from Christina Thomas, but hers wasn't a Christmas card.

Joy

This is my second card for the day, it is on white cardstock stamped with Tim Holtz Blueprint Snowman, with an old Christmas stamp for the border which was printed in Red Memento ink, I coloured the hat and scarf with water colour pencils, Faber-Castille, and black stick on pearls for the eyes and the four corners.

Watchman christmas

Here is this arvo's card, it is Tim Holtz Watch Man, with a music stamp behind him, I used another image of the watchman for a mask and stamped the music after I stamped the man, I used Faber - Castille water colour pencils to colour him and used a gift stamp which I think was from Fiskars and used a Merry Christmas which was a free stamp with a magazine.   I thought this would be a suitable card for one of my hubby's elderly male friends. for the inner I used a cuttlebug embossing folder "Three Kings" and a piece of green Christmas paper down the left hand side with a Christmas Ornament cut out in shiny red cardstock with a Marianne's creatable and used a shiny brass brad to hold it.

Christmas card, family christmas tree.

This is the second Christmas card for today, using white cardstock, embossed with a Sizzex folder "Snow and Trees", with red paper with white Christmas trees, cut with an mpress cutting die "Fuzzy Circle" also the small white circle was cut from the same set of dies and stamped with a vintage santa from a stamp set, Vintage Santa's from www.sullivan's.net I also used a sentiment from  a Hot off the Press paper pack "Forever Christmas Card Stack"  I shaded the edges of the small circle and the card with red stain from Memento.

Christmas pointsettias

This is a Christmas card I made today, using white cardstock with paper from a 6-1/2" paper pad "December 25" from Kaisercraft, I used Marianne Creatables Corners and Pointsettias in various red shades of scrap paper and Red Foil for the sentiment which is also a Marianne Creatable die. I used red ink from Memento to shade around the edges of the card.

banners

I made this card this morning from scraps in my scrap basket, I cut out the banners by hand and then punched the flowers out with a punch, no name, that I bought at Newcastle Craft Show, and added some rhinestones from the "Cheap shop" I put a border on the top,  cut with  Tim Holtz "On the edge- Ornate" which I think finished off the card.   I try to use up the odd scraps of paper that I have left from other projects.

pretty little dress card for a youngster

I needed to make a card for a small girl, and found this dress pattern on www.stampington.com and thought it would be suitable so I cut out the pattern in Graphic 45 "Old Curiosity Shoppe Collection" paper "Mercurial Masterpiece" and added some lace and ribbon from my stash and a sweet pink dotty flower with a black stickon pearl, the little baby brad I bought in a batch of brads from china, and I used an EZCut embossing folder from wwwsullivans.net to embosss the dress, and was lucky that the impress showed up on the paper.   I could not find the name of this folder anywhere on the packaging, but it is a pretty floral.

I made this card this morning, and I used white card stock with designer paper from Graphic 45 "Olde Curiosity Shoppe" and used a Cheery Lyn Corset die which was a gift from my friend Meg, together with the corner piece, thanks Meg, I used Die-Namics mini Royal Roses die for the flowers with stick on pearls.

steampunk clock card

Todays card was inspired by Scraps of Life, http://gloriasscraps.blogspot.com.au  where a canvas was made with lots of multi pieces but  I would like to make a card, I used Tim Holtz embossing folder "Patchwork" to emboss the white card stock and used Tim's Distress Stain in "Chipped Sapphire" to colour the white cardstock, I used navy blue sparkle card to cut out the wings and crown from Tim's "Heart Wings" cutting die, and used navy blue card stock to cut out the Spellbinder's Cogs and Tim's Movers and Shapers "Mini Gears", I used Movers and Shapers Keyholes and added a key from my stash, I also cut three tiny
Die-Namics "Mini Royal Roses", I quite
like this card which can be used for
many occasions.

I used gold on the roof of the chapel and in the centre of the pointsettia, it was a lot of fun creating this card and I am going to enter it in the August Colour Challenge at 52 (Christmas) card throwdown, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au

Christmas Card Holder

The picture for this Christmas card holder was sent to me  by my friend Meg T, in March this year, thanks Meg, I bookmarked it and finally have had time to have a go at it. I don't know where she got it so I am unable to acknowledge the original crafter, but if you see this, Thanks for the inspiration.     I used packaging for the corrugated and some Christmas paper , among the cutting dies were spellbinders brackets, Tim Holtz on the edge Townscape, Reindeer Flight, Gears, Couture Victorian Rectangle, I cut the light bulbs out by hand and used some glitter pipe cleaners that have been hanging around in my stash for years, only using one or two every Christmas period.  I used water colour paints to paint the houses, and I used Tim's Pine Trees for the trees at the back of the houses, the  paper on the front of the little barn is from Meg's Garden which has also been in my stash for donkey's years, I used newsprint for the base glued onto a piece of card stock.  This took me  a couple of days to do, but I am happy with the result.

Father's Day

I made two of these cards for my boys father's day, I used cream cardstock for the card and the front and I used Memento ink in Rich Cocoa for the shading on the card, I used Tim Holtz embossing folder "Postal set" for the background and his stamps "The Journey" and "Curious Possibility"  and I used dimensional tape to give dimension to the card with the plane and the tickets.   I used Cotton  Twine that I bought from the stationary dept in the local supermarket and secured it with sticky tape on the back,  I used a key from my stash secured with a ring and an alligator clip.  I attached the front with dimensional tape to give it a lift.

steampunk card

Here is a new card I made this morning, the inspiration is from "Scraps of Life" "Steampunk Birthday"   I used a Tim Holtz dress model from "seamless experience" stamp set, and used a butterfly free stamp that I got with "Craft Stamper" magazine some time ago, for the wings,  I also used Rick Cocoa stamp pad from Memento Inks, the embossing was done with Tim Holtz E.folder  Steampunk - Gears.  the rhinestones were from a cheap shop around the area, and the green shading was done with a memento ink pad "Cottage Ivy".  I quite like this one which could be used for any occasion from birthday to thanks.

Flip Card for a man

This card was a trial to see if I had the dimensions correct for the "Flip", I cut the cream card stock at 4-1/4" x 7-1/2"  and scored at 2-3/4" and 3-3/4" to make the flip, I used a set of Couture Cutting Dies "Victorian Rectangle", and used the second size for the first cut then the 3rd and 4th sizes for the other two cuts, I used a stamp pad that I got free with a kit from "Cardmaking in Easy steps" Number 4.   I haven't used these stamps before but they were ok, I used Tim Holtz distress pad "Vintage Photo" to add dimension around the cut outs, I will probably make more of this style of card.

Steampunk spells

Here is today's card, made from Black card stock and a page from graphic 45 "Steampunk 'Spells" paper that I love, I used the Totally wicked Owl page for the background and I used black card stock for the plaque in the centre, it is Victorian triangles from Couture Creations, which I have had for some time and the steam punk is also from the Graphic 45 paper and the sign is also from the paper, I cut the gears from silver paper with Tim Holtz movers and shapers "Mini Gear Set" this is another of my favourite dies, instead of ribbon I used silver cord for the bow.

Accordian Christmas Card

I enjoyed making this card, but it did take a long
time, I think when I make them to send out I will
only use two sections instead of four.  I used various cutting dies, ie: Marianne's creatables, die-namics, and Quickutz and Memory Box, and various stamps, embellishments and stick on rhinestones, I have shown various angles so that the pages can be seen, I also used a Twiddleybitz template to make the chimney for the little elf, I used Tim Holtz distress stain in "Walnut" for the colouring of the chimney and used Kindyglitz for the snow, in "Chrystal", I used Perfect Pearls in "White Opal" for the snow on the village. I used "Black Opal" and "Red" Kindy Glitz for the snowman and "Copper" for his nose. and "Red for the elf's Hat, for the Elf in the chimney I used a Sizzex tiny embossing folder and cut out his legs in Green and his boots in Red card stock. The reindeer was a gift from my friend Helen, Thanks Helen! I made the rosette with my scorepal and used buttons on either side of it and used string for the bows. The poinsettia was cut from pale pink paper and I stained it with pink distress ink and a yellow centre with a green rhinestone. The little green trees are cut from the Quickutz "Joy" set, they were just the right size!
Since taking the photo's I have added a red gift sack beside the Elf in the Chimney!!!

mini royal roses 1 & 2

Here are two cards, made with the same green flourish from Fancy Pants and the Royal Mini Roses from Die Namics, but with different background papers, the first one has paper from Websters Pages "Petite Papers" and the second ones has Kaiser craft off side from the Gears paper that came out about 5 years ago and this is the last of it, it has a nice colour with soft gold coloured gears, and I cut "On the Edge - Steampunk" gears from Tin Holtz and I cut them out of gold card stock, I used the same flourish die and the previous card and a label from Graphic 45 "steampunk spells"n and a small amount of green grosgrain ribbon, and I cut the roses from paper from the graphic 45 "Olde Curiosity Shoppe" paper.   So basically it is the same card but so different with the different papers.
