Exploding Card

Hi Everyone!!  I am back on line now that we have power after a week of no lights or stove, no hot food, NO internet, I think that was the hardest, not everyone has power back, so hope they get it back soon. The storm was all along the NSW coast from about Nowra to Port Macquarie, with lots of floods, winds, trees blown over, so glad it is over although we have more rain predicted,   I was asked to make a card for an 80 yr old lady who likes flowers, so I made this exploding card from a tutorial that I found on youtube from Karen Burniston, can't remember her web address but I just searched for "Karen Burniston Exploding Card" and the site came up, Thank you Karen I really like this technique to make a terrific card.   I used plain white card stock and sprayed it with Tim Holtz' new colour "Cracked Pistachio" and used "Peeled Pain" distress ink pad for the edges and all the greenery stamped on the card, The flowers on the front are Memento "Bahama Blue"   the grass is green scrapbook paper cut with a Cheery Lynne die, on the inside I sprayed the wings with the "Cracked Pistachio and used white card stock with the edges done with the "Peeled Paint"  I made my own pop up and used acrylic to stand up the Balloons and the numbers, I used a brown card stock for the picket fence and more of the green paper for the grass, I used a butterfly brad in the centre of the cut flower, Thanks Karen for the inspiration.!!   and Thanks for visiting, Jasann

Hi there everyone, it is a bit chilly today, no sun, just cloudy. 23o C.  Hope everyone is well.  I made this card to enter into the 52 (Christmas) card throwdown challenge, April Colour Challenge, Coffee and Cream. I used a brown cardstock with a cream topper, the topper is a Quill card "Crazed" it has a nice texture and I used a Tim Holtz stencil "Festive" with "Vintage Photo" distress ink pad.   I am happy with this, I haven't used this stencil before, and I think I will be using it a lot in the future.  Thanks for visiting, Jasann

Baby Girl Card

Hi  there everyone, hope you are all well today.   I made this card for a family member who has just had a baby girl and I used white cardstock for the base and a pink topper that I embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder "Polka Dots" the paper was a pale pink from my stash and I used the next floral piece from a 12" x 12" paper pad that I bought at Big W, it does not have a brand name on it, for the little piece with the pram on it was a piece of white card stock embossed with a old little Cuttlebug embossing folder from a set called "celebration stamps"  there are a set of 5, but I think they are now discontinued.   I used a Spellbinder Nestabilities cutting die, "Classic Scalloped Rectangles Small" to cut out the floral piece and a Spellbinder Shapeabilities "Fancy Tag 2" for the sentiment and an old Fiskars stamp for the Congratulations and a piece of pink ribbon to make the bow from my stash. I did all the shading with Rangers Spun Sugar ink pad.       I think I got it right, and the  inspiration came from Karen at          Thank you Karen!!!!

I am entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - In the Middle.

Patchwork Christmas

Hi all, Hope  you had a lovely Easter, as I did, here is a Christmas Card I made today to enter into a couple of challenges.   I used a grey cardstock for the base of the card, and scraps from my scrap basket to make the patchwork background, I used the largest stamp from the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments Clear Stamp Set with Ranger Emboss It Dabber, and Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder in Gold for the ornament which was cut out from a green with gold dots paper, a 6-1//2" square paper pad from Kaisercraft "December 25th" and cut some pine leaves with a Marianne Creatables Die that I have had for ages, these leaves are also cut from scraps, I used a silver metal snowflake for accent.   I am entering this card in: CASE-ing Christmas Challenge # Odd Team Inspiration, and 52 (Christmas) card Throwdown April Sketch Challenge "Patchwork"  Hope you all like this card, and thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Exploding Handbag

Hi there everyone,I made this cute little exploding purse to put some little easter eggs in for my friend, who loves handbags.  I got the tutorial from Split Coast Stampers, they have lots of great tutorials.  I used a heavy scrapbooking paper from "Once upon a Time" 12" x 12" square stack Fabrique that I bought from Big W, some time ago there were 48 sheets in this stack and I have used quite a few of them on various projects, I shaded the edges of this project with Rangers Distress Ink Pad "Vintage Photo" and used flowers cut from scrap paper with a Spellbinders "Donna Salazar" die "Rose Creations" and used small stick on flowers for the centres, and on one of the flowers I used a purple dragon fly brad for the centre, and I cut a butterfly from a scrap of one of the Graphic 45 pads. I used some stick on velcro tape for the closure.   I enjoyed making this, but it didn't go to my friend, I had to make another one for her, this one is being entered into the Hawkesbury Valley Agriculture Show,   I am also entering this into the Scor-pal More than One Score #14 - Spring and/or Flowers, .  Hope you all like it, and
