Happy Christmas

Hi everyone, here is a card I made today to enter into the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #215, (Pink/Grey,or silver) http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au I used a grey cardstock from Quill with a sheet of Pink for the topper, which I embossed with an old Darice embossing folder (Sheet Music) which I have had for ages, and this is my 32nd embossing folder I used in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders.   I used silver card from Poppy's crafts for the Pointsettia which was cut from a Marianne's Creatives Cutting die, and I used a small pink rhinestone flower for the centre.  I also used the same silver card to cut the sentiment which was cut with a Creatives Die which came with an Australian Simply Cards Magazine, and I added three small pink rhinestones in the top right hand corner,   Hope you all like this card, and as always your comments are always gratefully appreciated, thanks for visiting today, Jasann

O Little Town of Bethelem

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made today to enter into the Jinglebells challenge - O little Town of Bethelem, http://jinglebellsrock.blogspot.com/2016/09/o-little-town-of-bethelem.html I used plain white cardstock from Quill, and sprayed a Dylusions Ink Spray - London Blue - onto an acrylic block with plain water and pressed my card onto it and it made a nice blue sky,   I die cut "Townscape" with Tim Holtz "On the Edge" die in black card, and thought it was a bit too dark, so I used White gel pen to outline the little house, and used Distress Marker "Fossilized Amber" for the windows and then decided the houses needed a bit of colour so I used Distress Marker "Picket Fence" for the background colour and the used the following distress colours for each of the houses: Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet, Carved Pumpkin, Candied Apple, Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron,  and Abandon Coral, which I was happy with the dimension of the houses.I then cut out a yellow star from a scrap of yellow cardstock with a die from Mpres star set of dies, there are 6 sizes in this pack. and I then stamped Santa in his sleigh and with reindeer with Ranger Archival ink pad with a stamp I have had for ages from Kaiserraft  'Tis the Season" Hope you all like this card and thanks so much for your visit today, and as always your comments are always gratefully received, Jasann

Happy Birthday Bird

Hi there everyone, getting back into the knack of blogging, and making cards, I am entering this card into the Happy Little Stampers : Case the Designer Challenge - Asa Johansson, at http://happylittlestampers.com I used the same Tim Holtz Bird for the focal point, I used the largest Oval Die from Poppy Stamps Oval Die Set, and for the background I stamped onto an acrylic block ink from a mini Distress Ink "Peeled Paint", sprayed it with water and dipped my card into it, and then dried it with a kitchen towel.   When it was dry I stamped the bird with Ranger Archival Ink, Black, and used Distress Markers, Hickory Smoke, Ground Espresso, Carved Pumpkin and Abandoned Coral, on an acrylic block and used my water pen to colour the bird, I was going to make him a sparrow but a bit of the Abandoned Coral snuck in, and I decided to leave it, as it made me happy to have the colour.   I used a Happy Birthday stamp out of my stash for the sentiment, Hope you like this card, and as always your comments are all gratefully appreciated, thanks for your visit today, Jasann
