Merry & Bright

Hi everyone, a new card to enter into the Merry Monday Challenge #170, (use holly), http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au  I am staying at my son's home for the next two weeks, and did not bring all my craft stuff, a bit hard, as I seem to have heaps, so do not have many dies etc., but what I have on hand I used for this card, white cardstock, pile of gifts stamped with Stazon black ink pad, and coloured with Faber-Castille water colour pencils, and a Tim Holtz stencil Holly Bough, coloured with distress inks = evergreen bough and barn door. and stamped with a sentiment, I bought both those stamps from a garage sale so sorry everyone I do not know the manufacturer, and shaded around the edges with the barn door, hope you all like this card, and thanks so much for visiting today.................

crazy bird

Here  is a card I made yesterday with the "Crazy Bird", I copied this bird because here in Australia the stamp set is over $53.00 and is too expensive for someone on a limited budget, I just hope it will look ok.  I used white cardstock, and used a stamp that I made from the Tim Holtz mini pine and holly die, and stamped the trees at the back also a star stamp that I made, I coloured my bird with Distress Ink "pumice stone" and "Barn Door" I used texture paste around his hat and pom pom, the little pile of gifts came as a gift from a friend, and I coloured the gifts with distress "Barn Door", "Faded Jeans" "Antique Linen" and "Evergreen Bough", and I put the sentiment on the inside of the card.  Hope you all like this, thanks for visiting, Jasann

Christmas Joy

Hello everyone, this card is for entry into the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #169, Light Green, Dark Green and Red. http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au
I used four different green elements for this card, Dylusions Ink "Cut Grass", Distress Spray Stain "Cracked Pistachio", Distress Ink Pad "Peeled Paint" Mix'd Media Inx embossing Powder "Peridot", four shades of green, I used a white cardstock for the base and used Tim Holtz stencil "Festive" and a plain red card for both the edges, this is the last of my red card, have to buy more!!!  and used some red rhinestones from Kaisercraft basics, and some red gel ink pen for the berries, the two ink sprays were sprayed through the stencil and for the sentiment "Christmas Joy" which was an old stamp that came out of my stash, I used the distress ink to stamp and the embossing powder on top of that, which gave a two tone effect which I am quite happy with.  Thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Snowman

Hello everyone, hope everyone is having a good day, I made this card today to enter into the 52 (Christmas) card Throwdown, August Theme Challenge - "For a Child" http://52cct.blogspot.com.au, and hope this cute snowman will be liked, I used white cardstock for the base and for the topper I sprayed Dylusions Ink Spray in London Blue and used Tim Holtz stencil "Tracks" and Dylusion stencil "Chequered Dots" with water and that's how I  got the lovely background with seemingly snowdrops on the scene, I stamped Tim Holtz Blueprint Snowman onto the card and also a separate one that I could colour and add with dimensional tape.   I used a selection of Stabilo  Pens,  Crayola Markers and Distress re-inker (tumbled glass) to colour the snowman and his features.   The sentiment came from a "Clear Impressions" stamp. I am pretty pleased with this one and think that any one of my grandsons would like this card!  Thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, here is a card I am entering into the August Challenge at Scrapbook Boutique, http://scrapbookboutiquenews.blogspot.com.au , I haven't entered any thing in these challenges before, but am now diving in!!!   this card is on a black cardstock base, and was stamped with a stamp I made, with Debbie Henderson's video tutorial, Debbie's Designs, and it worked very well, I used my Cheery Lynne die - Steampunk Butterfly - with foam that I bought at Lyncraft at Victoria Point, south of Brisbane, when I was visiting my daughter last Christmas.  For the background I used a tutorial from Split Coast Stampers - Lee Anne Cross - Stencil Monoprints - they also have a video tutorial, I am very pleased with the way this turned out as it is my first time using this technique.   I used two shades of red, Memento Ink Pad - Lady Bug, and Distress Inks - Barn Door.   For the Butterflies I used Memento Ink Pad - Burmuda Blue. I used Liquid Perfect Pears for the dots in the butterfly feelers and Stick on Blue Rhinestones for the other little embellishments, and the Happy Birthday stamp came from ab old stamp set that I have had for ages and lost the packaging, so can't say who the manufacturer was. I shaded around the edges with Burmuda Blue   Hope you like this card and many thanks for visiting, Jasann

Traditional

Hi everyone, here is my entry in the 52 (Christmas) Card Challenge, it is the August Colour Challenge = traditional red and green, which should be the predominate colours, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au , I used a red background and a green Christmas tree that was a gift from one of my friends, and stamped and paper pierced some small gifts for under the tree, I put red ribbon across the lower section of the card, and used small red rhinestones, (stick-on) from Kaisercraft basics.  The little sentiment stamp is from Clear Impressions Stamp set and the small flag is from a scrap of red and cream scrap booking paper.  I am also entering this into the Sunday Stamps Challenge - SSC107 - colour challenge, reds and greens, http://sundaystamps.blogspot.com.au, hope you all like it and thanks so much for visiting, Jasann

undersea scene's

Hi everyone, here is today's project. I made two under the sea frames for my Queensland Grandsons, I used frames that I found in my cupboards and used a background of lovely scrapbooking paper that I bought at Big W, it is a nice thick paper and I used Tim Holtz "Sand and Sea" bigz cutting die, and the crab and the seaweed are Memory Box dies.   I embossed the seahorse with a Cuttlebug Tiny Mosiac embossing folder and I shaded it with Distress inks Evergreen bough and Faded Jeans, I then used Crackle accents to cover it, and even though it did not crackle for me but I am happy with the result, I shaded the sand dollar and the star fish with Scattered Straw and a Memento Ink Orange.   The Trellis on the larger one is a Tim Holtz On the Edge diem and all the trinkets, Anchor, Shells, Fish and Clocks are out of my trinket box, and the crab on the larger frame was shaded with Barn Door
