Toy soldier

HI there, here is a card I made to enter in to the May Stash Challenge from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown using your dies or punches,
http://52cct.blogspot.com.au I used black cardstock for the base of this card, and a piece of paper from Kaisercraft 6-1/2" pad "Black and White Timeless" and I cut out the toy soldier with Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers die Mini Toy Soldier and Ice Skate, and coloured him with distress marker "Candied Apple" and "Ground Espresso" and I shaded him with Distress Ink Pad, "Vintage Photo" I cut out a tag from White Card and shaped the top with a Couture Die Victorian Rectangle, I cut the postcard from Kaisercraft 6-1/2 pad "Vintage Timeless and cut another piece of white card, and shaded it with Vintage Photo to go to the back of the postcard, making a stack, and used Silver embossing powder to the sentiment which is from Kaisercraft "Tis the season collection of stamps, I distressed the edges of the topper and postcards with Tim Holtz Distress tool, and I used red and white bakers twine for the bow on the tag.   I also used 5 clear rhinestones for an accent.  Hope you all like this, I had fun making this and didn't have to buy anything for this card as all the elements were in my stash (for a very long time)  Thanks so much for visiting today, and as always your comments are always gratefully appreciated, Jasann

Tea for two

Hi there, this is my 27th card in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders, it is a Couture Creations, from their "all occasions" collection and this one is C0723294, and this is the first time I have used it, I shaded the leaves with distress ink "Peeled Paint"   and the yellow cups were cut from a piece of painted card that I had in my scrap box that I had painted with Chromacryl acrylic paint "Cool Yellow" for another project, and had a small piece left over and thought this would be suitable, the stamp was a free one with Craft Stamper Magazine, of quite a few years ago and has become a favourite.    I used the Tim Holtz "Distressed Doily" and shaded around the edges with Memento Ink "Bahama Blue"  I am quite happy with and hope my sister will be too, as it is her that it is going to.  Thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Beige Umbrella Man

Hi there, This card has been on my table for quite some time as I originally made the umbrella man Black, and he faded away into the background so I had to make him another colour, which I did by cutting him out again out of paper from the 6-1/2" paper pad by Kaisercraft "Vintage Timeless", this paper picked the card up and made me happy with it, the black background was embossed with TIm Holtz' Texture Fade "Diamond Plate" and is my 26th card in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders!!, I also used some Spellbinder cogs and Memory Box Gears, die cut, out of cereal boxes and the pale ones are the baking paper that I put on the die to make it easy to get the pieces out of the dies.   I haven't done that before and there are some black gears there as well and I coated the card in several places with Distress Stain "Antique Bronze" which lifts some of the embossing so it can be seen, it has taken a while to finish this card but I am satisfied with it now, hope you all like it and thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Dance in the Rain

Hi there, here is a card I have visualised since my friend Jackie gave me some stamped sentiments, I used Tim Holtz Bigz Die "the umbrella man" and used plain white card stock for the base of the card, and shaded the card with Distress Ink "Vintage Photo", I do use a lot of this colour and shaded the edges of the sentiment with Memento Ink Pad "Bermuda Blue"   The coat and boots were cut from a scrap piece of paper from the Kaisercraft 6-1/2 paper pad "Vintage Timeless", and the blue umbrella, hat and jeans were cut from a piece of card that I had coloured with Dylusions Ink Sprays to make the background of  a Christmas Card, and was just thrown into my scrap box, it really suited the ink colour that Jackie stamped the sentiment with. I used silver Kindyglitz for the few raindrops, and outlined the man with black Stabilo pen and the hat band and the ribs of the umbrella with a aqua gel pen. I hope you all like this, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Midnight Garden

Hi there everyone, this card was inspired by a photo my friend showed me that she had saved from the net, but she didn't remember who put the card up, so if you know if it is you, a big thankyou, because I had some fun making this card, and I used a white background card and used distress Black Soot with a blending tool to make the fairy from a very old stencil that I bought for $2.00  a very long time ago, and had held onto it in my stash, and I used Tim Holtz micro glaze to cover it and then used three different greens with a blending tool for the background after making a circle mask for the moon, and then I used  variety of grass stamps with Black Soot to make the background and also the small dragonfly is an old stamp.   I am happy with this card, I put a "Hello" die cut in green on the inside so that I can use this card for any occasion.   Hope you like it too, and thanks so much for visiting today, and as always your comments are very much appreciated, Jasann

happy anniversary

Hi there everyone, I have been away from this blog for a while due to medical problems which will be resolved hopefully by the end of the year, and have been making all the cards I am going to need for those on my lists up until Christmas with a few extras that will only need the sentiments put on them, these cards today are for family anniversary, similar but with different backgrounds and colours, I just love these crazy birds and I hope the guys and girls will like them too.  On both the cards I used stencils from Tiddlywinks and used a blending tool to apply the colour, distress ink pad, Vintage Photo, and used other distress inks with a water brush to apply the colours, I used different colours for each birds, and cut an extra wing for the male bird so he could hold his bunch of flowers and used a small piece of lacy embroidered ribbon for the ladies hat.  The sentiment stamp is from a ery old set from Fiskars. hope  you like these cards, and as always your comments are very gratefully received, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Shine

Hi there everyone, here is a lovely card that I made this afternoon, to enter into Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge May 2016 "Shine", I used plain white cardstock and a stampendous stamp that I have had for ages, a script and I stamped it with VersaMagic "Cloud White" stamp pad and used clear Ranger embossing powder, that I then heated with my heat gun until it was all shiny, I then used a blending tool to apply Distress Ink Pad "Picked Raspberry" for a lovely dark pink colour, I then stamped a butterfly from the Kaisercraft "Tigerlily" stamp set, and I stamped it also with the "Picked Raspberry" ink and used the clear embossing powder and heated it to give it a nice shine and adhered it with a thin strip of dimensional double sided tape, and stamped a "Happy Birthday" from two different stamp sets that I have had in my stash for ages and added three clear rhinestones for an accent, hope you like it, and as always your comments are much appreciated, and thanks for visiting today, Jasann

embossed Happy Birthday

Hi there everyone, hope you are having a great day, as I am.   I found inspiration for this card on Loll Thompson's blog, http://stampingwithloll.com, she makes some beautiful cards, so Thanks so much for the inspiration.   I used white cardstock and stamped an old script stamp from Stampendous in white and used clear embossing powder to lift it and used Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and blended it over the writing, and I did the same with the Butterfly stamp from Kaisercraft Tigerlily stamp set with the distress ink and clear embossing powder I then cut the butterfly out and blended the ink around the edges and stamped the sentiment with two old stamps, and in the second card I used the same pattern but used Distress Scattered Straw for the colouring and for the sentiment I used Vintage Photo.  Loll used a lovely flower on her card, but I do like butterflies, hope you like these cards, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann
