Who's the boss

Hi There, Here is a card I made today, please excuse the shadow beside the card, my camera is playing up and I took this photo with my phone, I used white cardstock for the background, and used an mpress embossing folder "Jackies Flower"  and coloured it with a mauve water colour pencil and the stems with a green one, I used stencils Memory Box, "Texture Diamond", Dylusions "Chequered Dots", and Tim Holtz "Hearts" for the background using Memento Inks "Rich Chocolate" and "Grape Jelly" also Tim Holtz Mini Ink pads, "Spun Sugar" and "Barn Door". I used flowers made from Mini Royal roses Die-namics cutting die and a Chipboard Flower from one of the kits, cannot remember which one, and a little pink rose that I also had in my stash and the little doll coloured with Spun Sugar,  and the blue shaped strip at the bottom was a left over from a piece of lace that I cut out a long time ago and liked the shape so kept it, I don't remember which cutting die was used.  I am entering this card in Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge No 12, "who's the boss"  embossing either Dry or Heat embossing, http:gloriadesignschallenge.blogspot.com.au

Dennis

Hi there, here is a layout that I made this morning of a photo taken in 1947 of my late husband, he was about 12 months old,  the inspiration for this layout is from Emma at That's Life, http:stickydots.BlogSpot.com.au, thanks Emma, I used an 8" x 8" background scrapbooking paper from SEI from Logan, Qld, www.shopsel.com, they make lovely papers, and I used a 6" x 6" paper from Fairy Belle Collection by Jodie Lee Designs, this was a free pack with Australian Simply Cards Magazine, the lace around the edges was cut from another paper from this collection by Joy Crafts, I have had this in my stash for quite a few years, I used a couple of brass pieces, the small rose on the right hand side and a swallow in the top left hand side, I made the mini royal roses with die-namics die, and the rose leaves with Spellbinders "Make a Rose" both from scraps of Graphic 45 paper from Birdsong, I love these papers so much I like to use all the offcuts and not waste anything, I used a Graphic 45 tag that I received with another free pack from Australian Simply Cards, I used a little bootee and a jewelled brad and adhered the tag with dimensional tape. I had two copies of this photo and gave one each to my kids after Dennis died but kept a photo for myself which I have finally scrapped.   I am entering this into Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge # 11, Tag, http://gloriadesignsblogspot.com.au

stickers

Hi!  Here is the last card for the July Challenge at Christmas (card) Throwdown, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au "Stickers", I used white cardstock on cream for this card and used Tim Holtz Embossing Folder "Bingo" and highlighted with Memento Ink "Lady Bug" the "Bingo" and the date "25" and used stickers for the gifts and candy canes, I also shaded the edge of the card with "Lady Bug"  This was a very quick card to make, and I think I quite like this one too!

Colour Challenge

Hi Everyone, here is another entry for the July Challenge - Colour Challenge for 52 Christmas (card) throwdown Challenge http://52cct.blogspot.com.au, this one is to use at least three of nominated colours, pale pink, medium pink, dark pink, red, dark green and light green, and I think I have actually used all of these colours out of my Christmas scrap drawer I used the Cuttlebug Snowflake die number 17, and spellbinder flag/banner die, I don't know the name of this one as I bought it at a garage sale and it was not in original packaging, and other scraps plus I used pink and white bakers twine from Cre8tiv, which is a KMart brand. I got the inspiration from Lisa at Ink Impressions, http://minkimpressionsink.blogspot.com.au Thank you Lisa!!!!

Christmas Tree

Hi All, Here is a card I made this morning for 52 Christmas (card) Throwdown, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au July Challenge, This challenge is for a Christmas Tree, with three stars and a sentiment, and I used green designer paper from Graphic 45 "Birdsong" and used Tim Holtz Christmas Tree Blueprint Stamp from Stampers Anonymous, and the three glitter  stars are cut with a generic punch that I have had for years and years, the sentiment is from a sheet of Christmas Sentiments, the tree is cut from Glitter Paper and I cut it in three pieces and attached it with dimensional tape and the trunk is cut from some corrugated packing.   I tend to hoard all these little bits!   I put some faux stitching around the edges with Tim Holtz distress marker, "Picket Fence" I was originally going to have the white background, but put the finished topper on upside down!   oops!    and then got out some green cardstock and added it all to that and I used Tim's Distress Tool on the edges of the white cardstock, so after that boo boo I am quite happy with this card.  Thanks for looking!
