Joy to the World

Good Morning everyone, I have had fun this morning making this card to enter into Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #255 (Joy)
Http:// .   I used white cardstock for the base, and used an old Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder, I don't have the name of this embossing folder, but it is a favourite of mine, and I have had it for quite a few years, I coloured the trees using the dot method in two colours, distress ink pens, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron.   The two little deer were die cut with a Impression Obsession die, which I have also had for a long time, I used a scrap of scrapbook paper to cut these out and used a black pen for their eyes.   I used a very old stamp from my stash to stamp the sentiment "Joy to the World"   and I shaded the sky with a very light touch with Distress Ink Pad "Faded Jeans".   Hope you all like this Cheers,   Jasann

Embossed Impressions

Hi there, Have not blogged for about four weeks or so, as I have been in hospital with this dreadful flu that is reaching all over N.S.W. even though I had the flu vaccination it didn't cover the extra four strains of flu that came.   Anyway I am at home now and have my "mojo" and getting energy back, so I made this card this morning to enter into the Autumn challenge " embossed impressions" I used a pale green card for the top cut out section which I used a Poppy Crafts Die "Bubble Labels" and shaded the edges with Distress Ink pad "Mowed Lawn" and for the inside where I embossed the three pine trees from Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder (which is a quite old one) on cream cardstock and shaded the trees also with "Mowed Lawn"  and the sentiment came from a very old die cutting set "Jolly" from Quickutz, I bought this set on e bay about 20 years ago, so don't know if it has been discontinued or not, but get it out every year when I am cutting Christmas Cards, because it is a very versatile set.  Hope you all like this card, and I did enjoy making it, cheers, Jasann

Hi there, Here are three ATC's that I made yesterday to enter into the July challenge on Happy Little Stampers, the cards from the left hand side feature Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs stamped in Archival Black Ink, and coloured with Distress Ink Vintage photo, and backed by Vintage photo shaded with a Brick Stencil from Twiddly Winks. The centre card, I put texture paste on the back, coloured with dylusions Ink Spray Vibrant Turquise and then cut out the sea weed with a Marianne's Creatables die and the Spellbinders Lobster, both out of scrap paper that had been saved from my spray box where I put the paper to cach the overspray, and that is often used as scrap paper or if large enough to make envelopes, and the third one is also shaded with distress ink Faded Jeans and another Twiddy Winks stencil, and one of the Crazy Birds with a small balloon from the same collection of Tim's stamps, hope you all like them as I had fun making them, Hope you all have a great day, cheers, Jasann

Toy Soldiers

Hi there, this is the first time I have posted on  my blog since September, 2016.  I was diagnosed with severe Osteoporosis last year and needed two total hip replacements, which I have now had and am recovering now, and I am able to resume my card making.   I made this card to enter into the June 2017, theme challenge "Toy soldiers or Nutcrackers" from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown,   I used red cardstock for the base of the card and stamped two images of the Tim Holtz blueprint stamp, toy soldier, onto white card, I used Tim's distress tool to distress the edges of the white card and shaded it with "peeled paint" distress ink pad.   I coloured the toy soldiers with Faber Castille water colour pencils and used a piece of glitter ribbon to use on the side for a bit of glitter.  Hope you all like this card.
