Merry Christmas

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made today to enter into the 52 (Christmas) card Throwdown, Technique Challenge, a card with 2 or more fold, not just a normal square or rectangle. http://52ct.blogspot.com.au  I used the Sizzex, Karen Burniston Accordian Flip 3 D Bigz die, I have had this a long time, but haven't used it for ages, I cut out four pieces together with scrapbook paper from a Pink Paislee 12" x 12" paper pad, which had quite a few extras with it, and used various die cuts, ie: sizzex snowflakes, Marianne's Creatables pointsettias, Memory Box pine needles, a deer from a magazine, Sizzex Retro Ornaments and a few tags I cut out with another free die from a magazine, I used Red and White Bakers Twine for the little bows, and liquid perfect pearls for the accents, I aso used Chromacryl texture paste for the snow on the ornaments,   Photo 1 is the front of this card and photo 2 is the back,  I cut a piece of lined paper and shaded the edges with distress "Barn Door" ink pad, I also used this in to shade all around the edges on the card.   It took quite some time to make this, but I an happy with it, I am also entering this card into the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, "Christmas in Summer Link Up" http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au,
Thanks so much for visiting today, and as usual all your comments are greatly appreciated, Thanks again, Jasann

Thanks

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made this morning to give to a friend together with a gift pack of 6 cards, as a thank you to her for driving me to the Specialist Rooms at Nelson Bay where there is no parking, so she will have to drop me off and then pick me up after.   I used plain white cardstock for the base and on the topper I used the pink and white striped scrapbook paper that I made the gift bag out of and also used a $3.00 stamp set that I picked up out of the sale bin at our local newsagent.   I used distress inks together with my water brush, "Barn Door" for the flowers and "Evergreen Bough" for the leaves, I stamped the images with Stazon Black ink. I shaded the edges with "Barn Door"  Thanks for visiting today, and as usual your comments are greatly appreciated, Jasann

Thinking of you

Hi there everyone, sorry for the delay in my posts, but life has got in the way.  Hopefully soon I will have more crafting time.   This is a card I made for a friend, and I used white card stock for the card base and a piece of burnt orange for the topper, and I used my new Tim Holtz die #1 to do the cut outs, cobblestones and hectagons, and I used a Julie Nutting stamp for the doll, she is a nice little lady and I stamped the dress out of some scrap paper, in greens and creams and it seems to be suitable, I used a green gel pen for the headband and the shoes, and blue for the flowers, and a piece of grass from by scrap basket, and the sentiment stamp comes with the doll stamp, which is "For You" and I have had it for a couple of years and have only used it once, but I do think it makes a nice card, and I am also very happy with Tim's new dies, just hope my friend likes her card, as always your comments are greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Seasons greetings

Hi there everyone, here is a Christmas Card that I saw on the net, but cannot remember who posted it, if you know who you are, thanks very much for the inspiration!!   I used plain white cardstock for the base and used a Tim Holtz stencil "Stars" with Memento ink pad "Canteloupe" and then cut out the die cuts from an old package which had a nice pattern on it.  The snowflake I cut out two Sizzix snowflakes No 17 and three of the Tim Holtz "Retro Christmas Ornaments" and put the stars on the ornaments and then put texture paste on the snowflakes and on the top of the ornaments, and after they dried I attached them to the card, and cut out the sentiment out of gold card from Poppy's Crafts.  I am entering this card in Merry Monday "Christmas in Summer Link Up" http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au thanks so much for visiting me today, and as always your comments are greatly appreciated, Jasann

Circles

Hi there, here is a card I made today to enter into Country View Challenges - July challenge - Have Fun with Circles.   http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.com.au
I used white cardstock for the base and used a blender tool with distress "Vintage Photo" ink pad, and used stencils from Kaiser Craft and Dylusions to make the cogs and circles and I used an image that was a gift of a Steam punk lady, she is very suave, and I also found a circle happy birthday sentiment which I stamped with the Vintage Photo and it had a little balloon image and cut it out with a Couture Creations circle die.   Hope you all like this one, as I had fun making it, as always your comments are greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Christmas Tree

Good Morning everyone, here is a card I made this morning to enter into the 52 (Christmas) card throwdown July Sketch Challenge, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au I used white cardstock for the base and the Christmas Tree was a gift from one of my friends, it was in white and I used my air brush with a distress marker, "Cracked Pistachio" and shaded the edges with distress ink pad "Peeled Paint" and I cut out a circle of red striped paper from a Kaisercraft 6-1/2" paper Pad "Yuletide" and the sentiment was cut from a Creative Die that I received free with Australian Simply Cards, I did have to use a shim with this die but when I did it cut perfectly, I also used three little silver stars that have been hanging around in my stash for ages, and I shaded the edges of the circle and the card with Distress ink pad "Barn Door", hope you like this card, and as always your comments are greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann
