Colour Challenge

Hi everyone, hope your day is as lovely as mine, we are having a lovely Autumn day here with sunshine and temp 24o C, it is very comfortable.   I made this card this morning to enter in the Merry Monday Colour Challenge #152, colours to be used: Turquise, lime and white.   I did not have much lime left in my stash, will have to stock up!, so I used that for the stars and sentiment, and used white cardstock, with Dyan Revealey's Ink Spray"Vibrant Turquise" which I have had for a while but hadn't used it much, and cut out a christmas stocking and raised it on dimensional double sided tape and used some turquise stick on rhinestones from Cuture Creations, for the stars I used both Mpress star die and Creative dies,"nesting stars" I am happy with this one and the entry web site is: http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.com.au I am also entering this card in the CASE-ing Christmas Challenge #13 "Even Team Inspiration" http://case-ingchristmas.blogspot.com.au

Exploding Handbag

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, it is a bit cold and rainy today, but can't expect anything else at the moment as it is Autumn now, and soon will be winter, brrrr!   I had a go at making the exploding handbag that is featured this week on Split Coast Stampers, it is surprisingly easy to make, I used some thick cardstock that I had bought some time ago at Big W, and even though it was hard to fold the scored lines it is a sturdy piece, I used Sellotape brand double sided tape to stick down the handles and used double sided stick on velcro for the fastening,   I had a few flowers that I had cut out previously from scrap paper, and made them up with rhinestone flowers in the centre, and in one of the flowers I used a dragonfly brad, and I also had a butterfly that I cut out of more scrap paper, I had a real clean up of my scrap basket, and got heaps of flowers etc., to use up the paper, I have not put any sentiment inside yet as I will wait to see who will get this pretty little handbag before I do that.   Hope you try out this pattern, and thanks for visiting, Jasann

Gift

Hi everyone, another lovely day today.   Here is a card I made today for the challenge at Merry Monday, Challenge #150 "Gift", you need to put a gift or gifts on your card.   I used plain white cardstock for the base with a topper from an 8 x 8" paper pad from Nit Wit Collection Bonnets and Bowties, from www.lilioftghevalley.co.uk, these are pretty papers, and I cut the gift from the Sizzex bigz die Gift #2, This was one of the first dies that I bought when I bought my Big Shot, and I don't use it very much, so this was a good opportunity to pull this die out, I used a dark green cardstock and some silver cardstock that I bought from Poppy's Crafts, I used an old Christmas stamp set, name unknown because I have had it for ages, but I am happy with how it looks, hope you are too.   I am entering this into Merry Monday Challenge #150, "Gift", http://merryondaychristmmaschallenge.com.au , thanks for visiting today, Jasann

I used paper from Nit Wit Collection 8" x 8" Bonnets and Bowties from www.Liliofthevalley.co.uk and embossed the pink with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder "Christmas numbers" I don't know the correct name because I bought this folder from a garage sale with no original packaging and the Blue is embossed with another Cuttlebug embossing folder "Polka Dots", and I used a piece of silver card to cover the join of the two papers, I used the silver card, with is from Polly's Papers, for the wreath which I cut from an old Nellie Snellen's die MFD030, I have had this die for a lot of years and have used it a lot, I was going to cut out pine needles but couldn't get them to make a circle and then I remembered this die and it works for me, I added pink rhinestones to the circlet and a pink bow at the top and used a small tag stencil from Australian Papercraft Essentials, and a christmas stamp with a pink rhinestone, and bahama blue ink pad from Memento ink.    Hope you all like this one, as I have not done one like this before, Thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Merry and Bright

Hi everyone, here is a card I made today to enter into the 52 (Christmas) card throwdown challenge, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au, March sketch Challenge.   I used white card stock for the base and also the topper, I dry embossed the topper with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, christmas numbers, I don't know what the official name of this folder is called as I bought it at a garage sale and it didn't have the original packaging,   I used a Tim Holtz diffuser to make the flat section to stamp the sentiment on which was done with  a stamp from Spellbinders Christmas Creations.   I used some gingham ribbon that I bought at the boxing day sale from Coles for 50c and the shaped piece was cut with a Couture Creations cutting die "Victorian Rectangle" and I shaded around it with Tim Holtz mini distress ink "barn door"  and the ornament is one of those on Tim Holtz "Retro Ornaments"   Hope you like it, and thanks for visiting!!

summer sun

Hi everyone, here is my latest scrapbook page, and photo of two of my grandsons in the pool at home, I didn't have any blue sprays so used food colouring to get the blue colour that I wanted for the base, and used some light net fabric for the fishing net and sprayed it a blue which after a couple of sprays came out the dark colour that I wanted, and I used a quickutz die for the crab which I embossed with green embossing powder, the shells are real ones and the sea horse and star fish are cut with the Tim Holtz bigz cutting die and I embossed the seahorse with a mixture of Faded Jeans and Green embossing powders and for the two sea creatures I used tiny pearls for their eyes, a few green gems and a pair of thongs and a tiny bottle of sun tan lotion.   I used Memory Box "alphabet soup" and Quikutz "No 48" numbers, I should have embossed a sun on the top left hand side, but forgot about it, so it was too late to put it in at the end.  Never mind with the next one I am sure I will remember to put it in.   This photo is one of our Christmas photo's when I went up to Queensland to visit with them for Chrissie, and we had a great time.  Hope you all like it, and thanks for visiting!!

Hi everyone, here I am again, with another Christmas card, this one is for the Case-ing Christmas challenge #10, http://case-ingchristmas.blogspot.com.au , odd team inspiration, "silver peace", and I used a green cardstock for the base with a white topper embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, I don't know the name of this folder as I bought it at a garage sale in just a cellophane bag with no name, it looks like wallpaper, and I used some small pieces of christmas paper made into flags and I used the medium size ornament from the "Jolly" Quickutz Christmas Set, with silver card from Polly's Papers, and cut the peace sign from the same silver card with a Memory Box cutting die "alphabet soup" and I added three little stick on diamonds to the page and the pine leaves were cut with a Marianne's Creatables die, with the same green card as the base, hope you all like it and thanks for visiting, Jasann

Green and Red Christmas

Hi there, Happy Saturday to you all, Here is todays card, to enter into the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Number 148, use Red and Green on your card. http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.com.au.  I used a green cardstock for the base and a piece of paper from Hot off the Press Inc. "Christmas Lace" and I cut the large ornament from a red paper, can't remember what brand it is, it was the last piece in my scrap basket, the die is the large ornament from "Joy" a christmas set from Quickutz, I haven't seen this set around for a while, I think it might be discontinued, and the pine leaves were cut from green glitter paper with a Marianne's Creatables Die, I used red stick on rhinestones from Kaisercraft Basics to decorate.   Hope you all like this one, and thanks so much for visiting, Jasann
