and 52 (Christmas) card throwdown, colour challenge, I used July 2013 for this challenge,
http://52cct.blogspot.com.au and I used an ivory background
card, with a dark red, and a dark green, I used the gingerbread man die from Sizzex, and used a Christmas stamp for the sentiment, I enjoyed making this card as I haven't used any ginger bread men for a long while.   Thanks for visiting, Jasann

newsprint

Hi everyone, here is a card I made to enter into the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #160, Newsprint. http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au.
I used green cardstock for the base card with a piece of dark green from a Christmas Paper pad, from Kaisercraft 6-1/2 x 6-1/2" "December 25th"  I used a piece of newsprint to cut out the deer with a Tim Holtz cutting die "Reindeer Flight", the gold necklace is from a roll of gold beads, and a red rhinestone for the nose from Kaisercraft Basics, the eye is a dot from a Stabilo pen, the corners of the topper are cut from a Marianne's Creatable corner die  LR0215, and the other corner with a corner punch.   These I have had in my stash for ages, the pine needles are cut from a Memory Box die #98968, and the sentiment is cut with a Memory Box die "Alphabet Soup" #98795 from a little piece of gold foil.   Hope you all like it and thanks for visiting, Jasann

Hi there, todays card is an entry into Merry Monday's Christmas Card #159 challenge.   I used a template from Crafter's Workshop for the leafless trees, and used Distress Ink Pad "faded jeans" for the blue background and used a stamp from Classic Christmas Collection Stamp Set from Clear Impressions for the tree ornaments, coloured with coloured gel pens from the supermarket.

Steampunk Birthday

Hi everyone, hope you are well, and that the weather is good where you are, it is raining here..... plenty of time to craft.... I made this card for a family member birthday, and used a grey cardstock for the background and used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the gears, but I used the debossed side and used steampunk gears on the edge, also from Tim Holt for the side gears, also the three men were stamped from a Tim Holtz stamp.  The gears on the top were cut fro a Memory Box die and I used several different Ranger distress stains, including Cracked Pistachio, Walnut Stain and Antique Bronze as I thought this looked like verdigris and worn gears.  I used Vintage Photo Ink Pad to stain the background and the right hand side gears and background.  I enjoyed making this card, and hope the recipient will like it,  Have a happy day!  and thanks for visiting, Jasann

Hi

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been posting very much lately, but have had this design in my mind for some time, I did see something like this on the net, but cannot remember where it was or who designed it, I think it was different but the general feeling is there, anyway who ever you are, Thank you.   I really enjoyed making this card, I used a stencil I made myself of the round shape and used bulldog clips and paper slides to hold it in place, while I used memento ink pad "Daffodil" for the sunny sky and "Bahama Blue' for the sea, I used a stencil I cut with a Spellbinders Shapabilities Inspire die "Paradise Palms" and used Tim Holtz "Evergreen Bough" and "Walnut Stain" to colour the palm trees, I used a white gel pen for the movement in the water and a black Stabilo pen to draw the birds, the sentiment was cut from a very old Cuttlebug conversation die, I bought it at a garage sale a very long time ago, and used black cardstock to cut it out.   Thanks for visiting,   Jasann

Merry Christmas

Hi there everyone, here is another Christmas Card I made today, I have used green cardstock and pink paper from Lily of the Valley 8" x 8" paper selection "Bonnets and Bowties" and the yellow is from an 8" x 8" matchmakers textured cardstock stack, this one I bought at Big W, I used Tim Holtz distressing tool to distress the edges of the Pink and Blue papers, and I used a Christmas tree stamp from an old unnamed stamp set with Tim Holtz mini ink pad "evergreen bough" and the sentiment came from the same stamp set and I embossed it with Tim Holtz gold embossing powder, I am entering this in to the challenge at 52 (Christmas) card throwdown "May colour challenge" Pink, Green and Yellow'

Stencil

Hi there everyone, sorry I have been away for a while, life happened, but I am back now and made this card for a challenge at Merry Monday, http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au
I used a white cardstock and used a Memory Box Stencil "blooming frame" and used Tim Holtz mini ink pad "shaded lilac" to colour the centre, and then I sprayed water on it and let it dry, I then wiped it all with my embossing buddy before stamping the Christmas Tree in embossing ink and using Tim Holtz Embossing Powder "Fine Gold" and heat embossed it, the tree is from an old Kaisercraft stamp set "Be Merry collection" and I had to stamp two trees because the first one did not turn out very well so I stamped another on the offside to cover the bits where the emb.powder did not adhere, but am quite happy with the result, and the sentiment also came from the same stamp set.  Hope you all like it, thanks for visiting, Jasann

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, hope all is well with you, we are having rain here again today, will be glad when it is over, I made this birthday card for "Mynns Birthday Bash" she has a giveaway on her blog.   http://mynnettekitchenonastampage.blogspot.com.au, the inspiration for this card came from Australian Simply Cards magazine, with a new technique that I have never used before, On your cardstock you dry emboss using an embossing folder and then you dry brush white gesso over the page and then you spray with your chosen colour and allow to dry, then you rub with versamark ink pad, (though I used a ranger embossing ink pad as I did not have the versamark) and then you sprinkle on the gold embossing powder, and then heat with a heat tool.  I quite enjoyed this technique which was demonstrated by Sue Smyth in the magazine, I cut the sentiment out with some tag dies and the sentiment stamp both came free with older issues of the magazine, hope you like it Mynn, and Kylie, hope you like this card too for your birthday, hope it is a happy one.   http://addictedtostamps-kylie.blogspot.ca/ Thanks for visiting,   Jasann
