gears

Here is a card I made today to enter in the Challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous, http://gloriadesignschallengeblogpot.com.au The challenge is number 8, show us some metal or glass.   I made a similar card last year for a friend who really loved it when it arrived, so I thought I would make another one,  (an easel card).  This one has silver paper embossed with Tim's emb.folder "Riveted Metal" and also Tim's on the edge "steampunk", and also movers and shapers "mini gear set"  I used a little birdcage, a clock, and a key which came from China, and two little dark purple stick on flowers and (I think it is a Hampton stamp, but not sure as I have had it for ages, but it is a good one) to stamp the sentiment, I used Kindyglitz in Black Opal to shine on the little gears, and I think it brightened them up.

  9. What a fun card! You definitely have on your metal-mojo for this creation. I bet the easel card was the perfect mechanism for holding all that metal at attention. The lantern, key and watch are great additions to the gears. This is wonderfully steam-punk and is a fabulous male or female card. Lucky recipient.
