Butterfly Flight

Hi there, I made this card today to enter into the Craft Stampers Challenge "Take it, Make it" in which you need to use a technique called "The Repeat Stamping Technique"   I have used a small butterfly stamp from the "Vintage Chic" set, which was a free gift with Australian Simply Cards, and I used a Memento Ink Pad "Grape" and used a dauber to shade the edges, it was a different technique to the others I have used, but I enjoyed the result.

little bit steampunk

I made this card to enter into the First Project in Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog, I embossed the card with Tim Holtz embossing folders Gears from the pocket watches and steampunk set, I used texture paste with the Twiddley Bitz stencil to add a little bit of texture and coloured the background with Payne's Grey jo Sonja acrylic paints as I did not have this colour in any other colouring sets, I used cheery lynn dies, Balloon, gears, and hand, these have been in my craft hoard for ages and have not used any of them before.   I used the three men stamp from Tim Holtz "Curious Possibilities" and cut it out with a Couture Creations cutting die "Victorian Rectangles" I did all the shading with Ranger distress ink "Vintage Photo"  

Another Travelling Watch Man

Here is another card I made with the Tim Holtz stamp
the "Watch man"  I love this stamp and have made many variations, with this card I embossed the background with Tim Holtz embossing folder "airmail and shaded it
with Bahama Blue Memento ink pad, I did all the shading on the card with this ink pad.   The small banners I used old book page and cut them my hand and used blue buttons from my "button tin", there are many buttons in this tin, and I add to it whenever I can.   I used the Tim Holtz diffusers, the oval one, to shape the watch man and I shaded him with blue Faber-Castille water colour pencils and I put a pair of sunnies on him for a change, the jalopy I stamped with Tim's stamp set "Life's Possibilities" and I embossed the watch man with Ranger emb. powder "Faded Jeans". the words were printed on my computer, cut out and inked with the Bahama Blue, I made this for my brother-in law, who has been a seaman for most of his life, hoping he will like it!

Merry Christmas

I made this card to enter the 52 {Christmas} throwdown, February, Colour Challenge.  The requirements are to use at least three of the colours stipulated, plus gold.   I used Red, Green, Blue, Black and gold.   I used a red designer paper with Merry Christmas written on it with a glittery green Christmas tree, which was cut from a cutting die that I got with one of the Australian Simply Cards magazine some time last year, and the snowman and greetings were cut from Marianne's Creatable cutting dies, I coloured the green scarf and the red nose, plus the black eyes and smile with stabilo mini point 88 coloured pens.   I think I have put it together ok.

tote bag

I made this little bag today, I felt like stretching and doing a bit of sewing, so I got out the "fat quarters" that I had in my stash and was able to finish it in one day, am pretty happy with it, but I could have done better, because when I finished it, I found a few mistakes, I will leave them there and then I will remember them and won't make the same mistakes again!

beanies for seamen

No cards today, but I have finished some beanies that I have been making for the Hunter District Post Polio Support Group, they donate these beanies to the seamen who come into Kooragang on the coal freighters, they are usually here from the other side of the world where it is at the moment very cold, and they always are pleased when they can choose a beanie, we have lots of ladies making these for them.

I made this card this afternoon as I had a few things
to hand that I either had to use, or put away in the
drawers, so I decided to do something with them and this is the result, I used white cardstock for the base, and used Dyan Reaveley's ink "Bubblegum Pink and Perfect Pearls "Sunflower Sparkle" to spray the background, the square doile has been cut from a Nellie Snellon cutting die, and the greenery from MFT cutting die "Leafy flourish" and Love from MFT " LLO accents" and the flowers were made from MFT "Mini Royal Roses" and the larger petals on the flowers from Tim Holtz "Tattered Flowers" I used metal corners and stick on pearls, Kaiser" and an owl trinket that I had in my stash. I think it looks ok for stuff that was on my craft table.
