I made these cards in the Simon Says Stamp On Line Stencilling class, Day 1, I used different stencils and the Happy die from Die-Namics MFT's, and the flowers and smile sentiment are stamped with a stamp from Inque.com, I bought this from K Mart a long time ago and have only used it rarely, But am trolling through my old stuff to use what I have forgotten about, am liking this class, learned a lot of new things.

Mixed Media Photo Layout
This layout is thanks to Anna Dabrowski and the other artists who give tutorials on YouTube, This is a photo of my son and his wife taken on a cruise in September, and I used lots of objects hot glued onto a gesso'ed canvas, and used vintage photo spray and also a blue spray paint, and am pretty happy with the result, I used various laces and stencils with texture paste to add texture to the background, and the title should be N & B, not B & N because it looks like Ben which is the name of their eldest son, the ampersand is a bit big, but it is unique given the mistakes I made, I think I will keep it "as is"

Christmas Birds on a Wire, mark 2!
I made this card as a portrait aspect also for the 52 {Christmas} card thrown down "A recipe" Challenge, which is Monochromatic, C.A.S., ribbon and rhinestone, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au for this card I used the embossing folder from Sizzex Snow and trees, but I think I've put in on back to front! I used the Tim Holtz diffuser to make a space for the sentiment, which ended up with a blot, so I just put a rhinestone on top of it to cover it up!, I used the stencil I had made for the birds on a wire from the Sizzex cutting die with Memento Ink Pad "Cottage Ivy" and the ribbon has been in my stash forever!!!
The rhinestones are from Prima "Say it in Crystals"

Travelling Watch Man
I was searching today for a birthday card for my son, who travels overseas a lot in his job, and found inspiration on Suzz's Stamp Spot, http://suzzstampingspot.blogspot.com.au , she had a lovely card with the "Travelling Man" one of Tim Holtz great stamps, with a map etc as a background, I didn't have that stamp so used the Watch Man, and I embossed the background with another of Tim's embossing folders "airmail" and spritzed it with a blue wash, (food colouring in a mini mister) and used one of the Tim's diffusers to cut out the circle, I used Faber-Castille water colour pencils to colour the man, and I used a stamp from Tim Holtz "Life's Possibilities" stamp set, I have used this stamp set quite often, it is a favourite, the card is edged with Memento Danube Blue ink pad, and the wording was printed on my computer, and the banners were cut from an old book, Stephen King's "Carrie" the pages were quite yellow and I shaded the edges with Danube Blue. I am happy with this, and would like to say "Thanks to Suzanne" for her inspiration.
