Yellow Merry Christmas

Here is the Christmas Card to enter the January Colour Challenge on 52 {Christmas} card throwdown, http;//52cc.blogspot.com.au, I used the we could choose at least three of the colours, I chose yellow for the background which was embossed with Craft Concepts "Starry Night", which was one of the first emb. folders I bought I used the two shades light and dark mauve for the trees, which are Tim Holtz movers and shapers," mini pine tree and holly set" and used the magnetic base tray with this, and the deer is cut from light blue Christmas paper,
I used a mini tag and stamped Merry Christmas with Bahama Blue, Memento ink pad and brushed the edges of the tag with this ink,  I used a silver snowflake from my stash.

"Little girl's dress"

Here are three sweet cards I made yesterday afternoon, the templates came from thestamperssampler.com,  they have some lovely templates on this site.   I used papers from a pack received in Australian Simply Cards, and used some ordinary card stock and some flowers, belt buckle, rhinestones, ribbon and flat backed sparkly flowers to adorn these little dresses, things that have come out of the stuff I have been hoarding, these cards are made for  three  little girls who are having birthday's in February.

Happy Birthday

Here is todays card, it is a very simple one, made with white card stock with a kraft coloured card topped covered halfway down with paper from the free paper pad from issue 63 of Australian Simply Cards, I used twine to wraparound the topper with a Happy Birthday tag together with a little frog charm with an umbrella, I have had this charm in my stash for ages. I used a Rangers distress marker in "picket fence" for the faux stitching on the card.   I am trying to use a lot of "stuff" that I have been saving, so am using it now!!!

Birds on a wire

I made this card this afternoon after I picked up the mail and this lovely Birds on a Wire Sizzex cutting die was there, I used ordinary white card stock for the base of the card and used a Tim Holtz embossing folder "rays" and spritzed the card with a couple of grey and blue colours that I had in mini misters, made from food colouring, which I used for a previous project and I did not have the correct colours for that.   I cut the Birds on a Wire from black card stock after colouring the rays yellow with a felt tip marker "yellow"  and I cut the Hi from an old Provocraft cutting die that was bought from a garage sale! I edged the card with
Memento Ink Pad in Danube Blue,
am pretty happy with this card because
it can be used for quite a few occasions.

Card for a formal Male, and a watch man for a boys birthday

Hi there, these are my two latest cards, the first one is the formal and the inspiration for this came from Lisa at You Made Me Ink, http://minkimpressions.blogspot.com She makes beautiful cards and lots of lovely projects, she is a great inspiration.   I used regular cardstock that I bought from Office Works, and I have a hand crimper that I bought a long time ago from a "cheap shop"  it has been used a lot, the bow tie is from some bows I found on the net some time ago and I didn't record who they came from, so whoever you are "Thanks"   I used Kaiser Basic stick on pearls for the buttons. Am very happy with this as I am always chasing inspiration for male cards,

she is full of inspiration too.   I made this card with a few variations, using embossing powder for the outlines of the man,
I did want to use black but unfortunately I could not get the WOW emb powder to work, so used Ranger silver, I used one of Tim Holtz emb folder "retro circles" on the front, and used
an assortment of chain, jump rings, and clock from my stash,
I used Faber-Castille water colours to colour the man and the
inks used to shade the background, and the letters is Ranger
distress ink pad, "Vintage Photo"  I am happy with this
but I would have liked the embossing powder to be black
instead of silver.

Gift Bags

 Hi there, here is what I have been doing this morning, upcycling, recycling bags that came from the optometrists, the first one is paper from Bohemian Bazaar, which were scraps, so I kept it a plain bag to use for either male or female, and the second one is covered with some music paper that I inherited from a friend who was clearing out her parent-in-law home, I also made the flowers with the music paper and also the bow, I added a little flower to the centre of the bow to give a bit of bling and I used Memento Blue Danube  to the edges of the flowers and the bow. I am pretty happy with these, and will go on to cover more gift bags when they come into my hands!

Feather Thank You card

Hi everyone, here is todays card, it is a Thank You for a male person, I have made it with an aqua blue card stock from Office Works, with feathers cut out with a Tim Holtz die "Writing Desk" in a Graphic 45 paper from Bohemian Bazaar "Jasmine Nights" and I used a brad that I bought on e bay a darker blue blot.   I used a Tim Holtz stamp from Life's Possibilities "Time is a companion" in a Memento "Danube Blue"   and the "thanks"  was  die cut with a Memory Box die.  I sponged the edges of the card with the Danube Blue, also the edges of the feathers.   I am happy with this card
