three new cards

These three cards were made while I was "boy" sitting for my son and d.i.l.   These cards were inspired by several different blog sites but I have not got the names just at the moment, The first one I used Tim Holtz embossing folder "gears" and the "film strip", the mini clock, movers and shapers together with some gears cut from another movers and shapers die, I used gold card and a cuttlebug alpha die for the numbers "2013" several small trinkets are from my stash, the clock wings are from Tim Holtz BigZ die "Heart wings" and I used rangers distress pad to shade the card "Vintage photo"
This card was inspired by "Card making made easy" with white cardstock with faux stitching with a pale pink gel pen, musical hearts which were in the kit, also in the kit was the pale pink and white ribbon, I used pale pink stick on flowers from my stock and the sentiment is from a stamp that I have had for years.
This pale pink card is a "thank you" and was made with two seperate shades of pink designer paper
I used pale pink ribbon for the accent and tied a bow, I used a pink button and
twine from  my stash, it opens up to say "Thank you"

Music

Todays card inspiration came from Scraps of life, their monochromic challenge on "Really Reasonable Ribbons Ramblings" Challenge into which I am entering this card.   It was made on a base of white card stock with black edging and a royal blue card stock, I used a die cut from "Card making in easy steps" issue 7, and also used ribbon from that pack, I used a paler blue button from my strash, and I quite like this card which can be used for a male or female greeting.

"Sent with love"

This is a pretty card made today with the inspiration coming from Paper Sweeties Inspiration from The Shabby Tea Room.
the background paper is from my stash and I used pretty little buttons from my button box, and a half paper doily together with hand cut banner on Bakers Twine, words hand written with gel pen and a  heart from tim Holtz Heart Wings cutting die, and little stick on pearls from Kaiser Craft basics.   I enjoyed making this little card.

Birthday Card

I made this card today because I need to practice my stamping and colouring and I saw a beautiful card on Simon Says Stamp by Steph.   I did not have the Tim Holtz stamps only a few generic stamps that have been in my stash for a long time but  I tried to make a cheerful Birthday Card with what I had, and here it is, it would do alright for a male or female receipent I used Faber and Castille water colour pencils and an old stencil that I saved from my daughters schooldays - long ago - and as I said various other stamps I think it is not too bad.

steampunk lady

I made this card for a birthday in February, and I made a spare to put in a box of cards for a present, I got the inspiration from Paula Whittaker who did a step by step for a chunky ATC in craftstamper magazine, January 2012, www.craftstamper.com, I used a piece of paper I made using the Dyan Reaveley inks and various stamp and Dyan's stencils, I am happy with the result, I used a Tim Holtz stamp for the steampunk lady and the photo strip which I stamped on designer paper, the tickets are also Tim's, the purple flower is one I cut out and rolled by hand and I used purple kindyglitz for the sparkle.

birdsong birthday card

This is a birthday card made with Graphic 45 Birdsong paper, which I really like, it has some wonderful graphics. I used black cardstock for the background, with some red and used silver gel pen for the silver accents.
