Songbook

Hi everyone, here is another christmas card that I made to enter into the Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge, # 367 craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au "Anything goes" as long it is :
Christmas
optional theme: upcycle or use something old.

I
used a white cardstock base, and used a piece pink paper with white dots on it. which was a small piece in my stash and I cut it with a 3" x 3" Decorative  frame from  Die'sire. I stamped the background trees with a Tim Holtz distress stamp pad "mowed grass", this stamp has been in my stash for a very long time,  and used the cutting dies from the Christmas Kit from Tonic Studios for the choirboy and the songbook and the sign and stamped that with Tim's distress ink pad "vintage photo"   hope you all like it, I had fun making it, cheers, and thanks for visiting, Jasann

January Sketch

Hi there everyone, I am happy to be back in blogland, and made this card last night, for the challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown, the January Sketch, http://52cct.blogspot.com.
I used the colours shown in the sketch, and on the red and white layers I dry embossed with "Christmas Village" which came with the Christmas card making kit from Tonic Studios.   I was very pleased with this kit as it had lots of ideas, stamps and cutting dies, plus papers.    I used the paper with "deck the halls" from a scrap of graphic 45 paper, I like to save all scraps of papers so I can use them on things like this and butterflies etc., The white piece is cut from a die from Die'sire decorative frame dies, which I have had in my stash for a very long time, and the star is cut with a die from Poppy's Crafts and the Merry Christmas is cut with a Marianne's Creatable's die, these two dies I have had in my stash for ages also, and the rhinstones are also in  my stash, from a cheap shop.   Hope you all like this card, I am sorry about the shadow on the photo, have a lovely day all, cheers, Jasann

Hi there everyone, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.    I have been away from the blog since October, as I had quite a few health issues, but am on the mend now and feeling quite strong again.   I made this card for the Merry Monday Challenge, "Embossing" #271 , I used an embossing folder that came with a "Sending Christmas Wishes" pack that I received last year, and have just now used it, the kit came with an embossing folder, stamps and cutting dies, I embossed the mail box and fence and shaded it with a soft red distress ink and stamped the holly leaves and bird and also the sign on the mail box, and cut them out with the dies, and I coloured them with distress pens, and I stamped a little grass at the bottom of the fence with an old stamp that was in my stash.   I used a white background card and shaded around the card and the topper with the same pale red that I used on the letter box, and I shaded the crown on the letter box with a yellow texta pen.  Hope you all like it and I am entering it into Http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com,   cheers, Jasann
