Happy Birthday

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made this morning the dies and embossing folder both came from the Magazine Simply Cards from Practical Papercraft International Ltd., I used an old piece of paper from an 8* x 8' paper pad from Cre8tiv which I bought some years ago from K Mart, for the background wallpaper.     The doily was cut with Tim Holtz "Distressed Doily" die, which I have also had for a long time and I shaded it with Distress Ink Pad "Faded Jeans"  and the oddments of paper were from my scrap basket, and I stamped the sentiment with "Faded Jeans" and also shaded the inside embossing folder (my 39th in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders) and I thought it looked good for the inside of the card, thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Cool Birthday

Hi there, here am I again today, having made this Cool Birthday card, the embossing folder is the 38th folder and is in the ice cream set which was in the sale box at the newsagent, I used a dark bronze paper for the background to resemble a waffle and used some pink and brown and grey papers for the ice creams and bowl, and some red for the cherry the biscuits were cut from a Lipton's teabag box, just because I liked the colours on it, and I stamped the sentiment with Archival black ink pad, hope you like this one, I hadn't made one like this before, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Two new cards

Hi there everyone, I am sorry I have been missing from the blog for a couple of weeks, am still having medical issues, and going into hospital in 1-1/2 weeks for a right full hip replacement.   Not looking forward to it, but I will be happy to be able to get about, reasonable well when it is over, only trouble is that I will have a left full hip replacement in the New Year some time as I have severe Osteoporosis in my bones!!! Oh well, just have to keep smiling and working at my hobbies.   I made two cards with a wooden plank background the first one I put a wreath cut from a plain green cardstock and another from designer paper. just a scrap left over from another project, and the green is a bit darker and there are pieces of red and yellow, to look like the flowers and fives it a bit of depth, I used some silver card, also left overs, with a new Poppy's craft albhabet die for the "Noel" they were all lower case, but that was ok, I used a Mariannes Creations Pointsettia die for the flower and used a small rhinestone flower for the centre, and a Mariannes Creatables die and a Memory Box die for the greenery.   and for the second card I also used the wooden background paper with white deer on top of a white strip of cardstock, the deer are from IO dies, (www.loststamps.com) I bought this die on E Bay, but cannot remember which seller, I cut the holly leaves with Tim Holtz repositional magnetic die, (movers and shapers) Pine tree and Holly Leaf, I used plain green card and shaded the leaves with distress Evergreen Bough, and just cut the red berries with a hole punch.  and the Merry Christmas is an un-named stamp that I have had in my stash forever.  Hope you like these cards and as always your comments are very welcome, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Happy

Hello there everyone, it is a very hot day here today. it is after 6 pm and is still 30o C, hope it will be a bit cooler tomorrow.   Here is a card I made for Happy Little Stampers October Challenge "Anything goes with dies"   I used white cardstock from Quill and cut the background with 2  new Thinlits Dies from Tim Holtz, they are from set 660220, I can't remember what the number of the series it is, and as a background paper I used a scrap that had been  on my friends craft table, she usually uses papers as a backing when she is spraying and when the paper is covered then she uses it for card making and it suits this card very well I thought, as there are some gold highlights on it.   I used another die from Cheery Lynn designs "Fanciful Flourish Left" for the greenery, which was cut from a scrap of green card, I then cut out the flowers from a nice piece of yellow cardstock from a pad, it is from Die Namics "prima donna petals"   and I used stickles "icicles" for the centres of the flowers and the extra leaes were also cut from that set in the green card, I also cut out the dragon fly from a Fancy That die out of the backing paper.   Hope you all like this card, and as always your comments are gratefully received, and thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Since the picture was taken I added white dots on the glasses and also drew  the piece that goes over the nose in black, . I hand wrote the sentiment.  With the background I used a wide brush to paint the Pink Distress Ink on and then put water on the ink and soaked the ink up onto the card.   I really like this card, and it was such fun to make, thanks for visiting today, and thanks again Nikki for your inspiration, Jasann

Hi there, I finally received my Crazy Cat stamps, just love these and decided to make a birthday card for my eldest grandson's 16th Birthday, hope he gets a laugh with it!!!  I used white cardstock for the base and stamped the cats with Stazon Black ink, then I coloured them with Distress Markers, I cut out the hats from some old scraps of cardstock, and used a black stabile pen for the embellishment on the top of the hats, I cut out some gift boxes also out of some old card stock, and then I made masks to cover the cats and used a Twiddley Winks stencil, Bricks, and attached them to my craft mat with adhesive tape, and the I got out my Marker Airbrush and the Ground Espresso Marker and brushed the background and I made a small flag with the sentiment on it and then I used scrap black cardstock for the sentiment on the inside with some black fish bones and milk bottles, I am very happy with this card, and hope you will too, as always your comments are gratefully appreciated, and thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Black and White

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made today to enter into the Scrapbook Boutique June 2016 challenge and blog hop, the mood board was black and white.  I used a white cardstock as a base and I have a couple of paper pad in black and white, 8 x 8" cre8tive which I bought at Kmart in Maitland many years ago and still have a few sheets left, also a 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 paper pad by Kaisercraft, which I have also had for some time it is called "Black and White Timeless"  and used a couple of sheets of paper from both pads the background paper with the stripes also had the ribbon and bow at the lower section and I highlighted the ribbon with white gel pen, and cut out the square of inspirations, and cut the hearts with a Kaisercraft cutting die "heart borders" in white cardstock, I like this die and have used it a lot!  http://scrapbookboutiquenews.blogspot.com.au
I hope you all like this card, I haven't made any black and white cards for a while, and as usual all your comments are greatly appreciated, and thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Sea Breeze

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made today with the new kit from Cardmakers Collection "Sea Breeze" this is the first shaker card I made with the elements from the kit, there are two Couture Creations dies "Shell" and "Anchor" which cut beautifully and the embossing folder, which I shaded with Memento Ink Pad "Bahama Breeze" I cut the circle with a die, also a Couture Creations "Set of Circles"  and cut out a fish and put it behind the window, I used dimension tape around the centre of the circle on the reverse side and then placed the coloured sequins in it and then attached the main card base, I then cut out the sentiment and shaded the edges with distress "Vintage Photo" and attached all the elements together, hope you all like this card, I am happy with it, I am entering it into the Happy Little Stampers June Challenge "Anything goes with Dies" http://www.happylittlestampers.com ,I am also entering this card in the Stamplorations June cas-challenge, http://stamplorations.blogspot.com.au/2016/06/cas-challenge-june-reminder.html
