With Love

Hi there everyone, this is my second post for today, have had a bit of time to myself today, and have made this card which is a 6" square card, and I used the free embossing folder and stamp that came with Australian simply cards, issue 77, I didn't know if I would like it, but I do and am happy with the result.   Thanks for visiting!!

Hi there everyone, hope you are all well today, here it looks like it will be a nice day today, plenty of sunshine but not too hot!   Here is a card I finished off before I went to bed last night, I used a plain white cardstock for the base and a piece of packing for the topper, where I used some texture paste coloured with Dyan reaveley's spray Bubblegum pink, and a Tim stencil "Measured" and let it dry, I cut out a dress model with Tim's Movers and shapers Mini Sewing Room Set", out of the same card I used for the topper, I sprayed with Tim's Vintage Photo and Walnut stain.   I used a rhinestone buckle for the waist area and sprayed the angora ribbon with Dyan's "Cut Grass" spray and while the inks were on my craft mat I mopped up the residue onto the card that I was using for the backing, I also used some green stick on rhinestones for the corners and a stick on vase with flowers for the bottom right hand corner, and I stuck the topper on with dimensional tape, I also stuck the dress model on with the dimensional tape.   Thanks for visiting today!!!

Treat!

HI there, this is my second post today, the inspiration for this card came from a post today by Mynn Kitchen, http://mynettekitchenasstampage.blogspot.com.au , Mynn makes beautiful cards, so THANK YOU Mynn for your inpsiration!!!  I used a grey cardstock and cut the top lace from red scrap which was in my scrap box, also the yellow on the bottom was also out of that box, as was the striped piece on the top.  I cut the doily with Tim Holtz bigz die "Distressed Doily" and used another red scrap and stamped a flower which was a free stamp with Creative Stamping magazine and used VersaMagic "Cloud White" ink pad, I stamped the sundae with a stamp that was in the sale box at the newsagent's "Fabulous 50's" and cut the tag with a free tag die that came with Australia Simply Cards magazine and the sentiment also came from the stamp set.  I used Black StazOn ink pad to shade around the cut out sundae, which I coloured with Faber-castille water colour pencils and I used dimensional tape to stick it onto the card, thanks again Mynn and thanks for visiting!!

Fab!!

Hi there, here is a card I made with a set of stamps that were in the sale basket at my local newsagent, "Fabulous 50's,"  I stamped all the images with StazOn Black Ink Pad, and coloured them with my Faber-Castelle watercolour pencils, I shaded the edges with Tim Holtz Mini Ink Pad, Barn Door.   I am sending this in a gift of scrapping bits to my friend, I think she will get a laugh out of it, I hope so!   Thanks for visiting!!

Technique Inset

Hi everyone, this is my second posting for today, I made this card to enter into this weeks 52 Christmas card throwdown challenge, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au, it is a technique card with the Christmas baubles inset into the card, the blue one was the hardest one to do, as it has lots of tiny pieces, I used glitter paper for both of them, they are cut with a Marianne's creatables die that I have had in my stash for ages, but still love them, the card base is a shiny but dull colour silver, and I put wide Sellotape on the back of the openings to hold the pieces, in some of them I had to use wet glue to help the sticky-ness.    I then put a piece of cardstock cut to size on the inside to hide the sticky tape.   I used a sentiment from Cre8tive a clear stick on.   I drew the hangers using a stabile fine line pen.

Thinking of you

Hi there, here is a card I made for my stash because we all need to keep some "Thinking of you" cards.  I am often asked if I have any in my box.   This one is on purple shiny cardstock, and is dry embossed with an mpress embossing folder "Jackies Flowers"  and I added a dragonfly cut from silver cardstock with a Fancy Free cutting die, I used silver cardstock to cut "Thinking of you" with a Cheerylynn and Memory box dies, on the inside.  Thanks for visiting today!!!

Wallet style Mini Album No 2

Hi there everyone, hope all of you are well, here is today's project, another little mini album wallet style.   I used a small paper pad from Cre8tive, which I bought on Boxing Day while in Queensland for $2.00. at K mart. There were 24 pages of 6" x 6" papers, and are all very pretty, I used a Tim Holtz "on the edge" cutting die "Ornate" for the front edge, and plenty of other pages in the collection, they are all lovely, and used the magnet closure.  The inspiration for this album came from Dawn's Inspirations, Sassy Scrapper, My Sister's Scrapper and Megs Garden, they all make lovely Mini Albums and I thank them all for their inspiration,   The little doily on the front is from "Birch" crafts, thanks for visiting today!!!

Flowers

Hi there everyone, this is my second post today, another card for my friend, with  this one flowers were asked for so I found inspiration from Tammy Tutterow, one of her many tags, I used a Tim Holtz stencil "Doily" for the left hand side and a sheet of paper from a small paper pad I bought from Kmart, there were 24 sheets in this tiny pad, but the papers are pretty, the pale brown paper has flowers on it and I used a Graphic 45 stamp and Vintage Photo ink pad for the right hand side, and a light ribbon that I sprayed with dylusions "Vibrant Turquoise" spray for the ribbon and also for the doily which was white cardstock, that I edged with Burmuda Blue Memento ink.  The ribbon turned out a lovely pale colour while the cardstock is quite bright.  The dies for the flowers are Die Namics "Mini Royal Roses," and" Daisy", and the other ones are Marianne's Creatables "English Rose" the paper is Graphic 45 from "Bohemian Bazaar" and I used the same for the sentiment on the inside of the card, also the Indigo Blue stamp for the lower edge, with the Memento Ink "Bahama Blue"  The Butterfly was cut with a Spellbinders die and I heat embossed it with a variety of Gold, Dark Green and Faded Jeans, to make a pretty butterfly which I attached over a little circle piece of card stock stained with Vintage Photo, one of my favourites, with dimensional tape so it is standing up a bit.   Hope she likes it, as much as I enjoyed making it for her, Thanks for visiting!!!!

Hi there, everyone, here is a card I made for a friend, she wanted a pretty card, so I thought Butterflies are pretty so used my tim holtz "on the edge" die and the on the edge "doily" for the side of the card, and I also used the "trellis" die and assorted Spellbinders and Marianne's Creatables dies for the rest of the butterflies and a "fancy that" die for the green tendrils and used a variety of Tim's mini ink pads to colour the butterflies, and for the inside I used a Indigo Blue stamp for the bottom edge and also for the dragonflies, I also used Marianne's creatables, Quickutz, and memory box for the sentiment, and hope the recipient will like this card, as much as I enjoyed making it, Thanks for visiting today!!

wallet style mini

Hi there everyone, this is my second post today, I just finished this cute little wallet style mini album.  The inspiration for this came from many sites, including Dawn's Inspirations, Sassy Scraper, My Sister's Scrapper and Meg's Garden, all these people do wonderful mini albums, so thought after all the tutorials I would have a go, and here it is.  The base is black card stock and the papers are from Cre8tive which I bought from Big W, there are 36  8" x 8" papers, 4 foil sheets, 4 glitter sheets and 28 printed sheets, so I have enough for a couple of these little albums which will make a nice little gift and holds 15 photo's, enough to keep memories from a special occasion, I had fun making this and thank the ladies from the above sites, couldn't do this without
them.   The closure is also a mini magnet, which is
from Basic Grey.  Thanks for visiting!!!

Blue Christmas

Hi there everyone, Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!!  we have 31oC here, and very cloudy and a thunderstorm predicted for later in the day, it is very steamy so I have turned the air conditioner on and that has made the house nicer to be in.   Here is a card I made this morning to enter into the Case-ing Christmas Challenge #2, http://case-ingchristmas.blogspot.com.au
I used a dark blue cardstock for the base and a light marblised paper for the topper with a flag made of white cardstock with a scrap out of my stash of Christmas paper and faux stitching all around the flag, I cut two Sizzex Snowflakes #17, and stuck some tiny stars on them, I also used a Nellie Snellon cutting die MFD027 for the corners, this is a die that I have had in my stash for about 15 years or so and love it! Snowflakes

Hi There everyone, Here is another Christmas Card, I made this one to enter in to the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #140 (Snowflakes), http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au
I used a green cardstock for the card base and a darker green for the topper, which is from a 8" x 8" pad, Neutrals which I bought at Big W, I really like this pad, it has a lot of really nice papers, all plain but that is what you want sometimes.   I used a Snowflake Embossing Folder from Sizzex, I think this is an old one, but I am getting a lot of use from it still.   I used the debossed side which shows up the white core of the paper, and used a silver card bought from the newsagent for the snowflake, which is an old Sizzex die "Snowflake 17" and the sentiment is a Marianne's creatables die.   I am pretty happy with how this card turned out, hope you are all too!!!   Thanks for visiting!!

Happy Christmas

Hi Everyone, here is my entry into the first challenge from 52 (Christmas) card Throwdown, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au of 2015.    I have used a white cardstock base with a topper of red cardstock, and I embossed the first white side with a Sizzex emb. folder "Snow and Trees" and the second side with a Cuttlebug emb. folder "Polka Dots"  These would have to be my favourite embossing folders for Christmmas cards, I use them a lot, the centre stripe is cut from a scrap of Christmas Designer Paper, I don't remember which company it is from, as I have had it for a very long time.   I stamped the ornament in Red Memento Ink with Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments Clear Stamp set, and the top with silver cardstock that I bought at the newsagents.   The red string at the top of the ornament is drawn with a Stabilo Mini Pen.   Just hope you all like this one. I made another one to go into the Caring Hearts Drive so that as well as having a card for my self I will have one for them as well.

You're a Star

Hi everyone, here is todays card, it is a "clean and simple" style card, with the stars embossed with Memento Ink Pad, "Daffodil" and the large star and the sentiments with the Memento "Tangelo" ink, I shaded the edges with the "Daffodil" and seems to be ok.  I am giving this card to a friend for her birthday.
