Aussie Christmas #2

Hi everyone, Here is the 2nd Aussie Christmas Card I have made, I am entering this card into the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #136, use colours red, green and white.  http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge#136(redgreenwhite)html I used a white cardstock for the base and embossed it with an mpress embossing folder "retro swirls"  and hand cut the leaves and the flowers that I quilled and painted the edges white.   These are Australian Gum Flowers and they flower in December, I hand cut the gum leaves in green and shaded them with Memento Ink Pad "Cottage Ivy"  and the Merry Christmas was cut from the same green as the flowers with a Marianne's Creatable cutting die.  am pretty happy with this one, thanks for visiting!!  I also entering this card into the challenge on Beccysplace,BlogSpot. http://www.beccysplace.com.au

  3. good to see your card on the Merry Monday challenge - an it's so pretty with that swirly background and those great flowers - and i didn't know that about gum tree flowers - i just remembered a song we sang in girl scouts (girl guides where you live?) - anyway it was about a kookaburra sitting in the old gum tree.

  7. Your card is fabulous Jasann, it's always great to see something from Down Under! I was very impressed to read that you'd cut the gum leaves yourself, they look wonderful, as do the gum flowers. Being a Brissie girl these gum trees are very familiar to me at Christmastime.
    Cheers,
    Beccy
