We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, Hope you are all well and enjoying the day, it is raining here, which we are enjoying because it has been too dry in the summer, Here is todays card, No 19 in my embossing folder personal challenge, I used white cardstock for the base and used an  embossing folder Darice "Sheet Music", this is one that I have had for ages, and I used Memento Ink pad "Lady Bug" to blend the colour onto the card, and I used gold designer paper from Kaisercraft "Yuletide" 6-1/2" Paper Pad and edged it with Distress Ink Pad "Vintage Photo" and used a red rhinestone for the nose and a black pen for the eye, and red buttons from my stash and a stamp from Kaisercraft Clear Stamp Collection "'Tis the season" I have had this for a very long time, and call this card "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and I am entering it into this weeks challenge at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #198 (Christmas Carols) http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au,  Hope you all like this card, and as always your comments are greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today,, Jasann

Bokah

Hi there everyone, hope your  Easter was wonderful as mine was with the family, I am home now and made these cards in the Bokah technique. The inspiration for these came from Debbie Henderson from Debbies Designs, http://debbiesdesignsblog.blogspot.com.au   it was in her newsletter of 21/3/2016, and her tutorial was very easy to follow, as they always are, so Thanks Debbie!!!!   I used  a bright orange cardstock with a red and then the white and used Memento Ink Pad Tangelo and  Versa Colour Cardinal and a plain white cardstock, I used a Versa Magic Cloud white and also the Black Stazon for the sentiment, both of which came from  a Clearly Besotted Stamp set which I picked at a sale for $2.00, a very big bargain as I have used this stamp set many times, and I also used three clear rhinestones on each card for highlights,  hope you all like these cards, and your comments are always greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

Hello Friend

Hi there everyone, here is the 17th card in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders, still have a long way to go, however I made this card for a friend and used white cardstock and a Cuttlebug embossing folder "Honeycomb" and coloured it with memento canteloup which is a nice yellow ink pad, and die cut the Hello with an Eliabeth Craft Designs, and the Friend with a very old Cuttlebug cutting die, which had several sayings on it.   I don't know the name of this die as I bought it at a garage sale and don't have the original packaging, and of course, one of Tim Holtz' crazy birds stamps, I just love these stamps and have used them quite a lot, I coloured the bird with Distress Ink Stamp Faded Jeans, and to colour the sentiment die cuts,  and used walnut stain for the earth below the feet of the bird, also I used Memento Ink pad Bahama Blue for the bird and Distress Black Soot to shade around his edges.   I used Ranger crackle accents to accent the eyes.    Hope you like this guy, and as always your comments are greatly appreciated, thanks for visiting today, Jasann

Thanks

Hi everyone, here is my 16th card in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders, the background of the central card is embossed with the DF3414 Design folder from Marianne's Creatables that has an embossing folder and a cutting die.   The colour is actually Distress Ink Evergreen Bough and Peeled Paint in Loll Thompson's watercolour Splash Background technique which can be seen at http://www,stampingwithloll.com Loll makes beautiful cards, and I rounded the corners of the central card with a corner punch and shaded the edges with Peeled Paint, and adhered three green buttons on the top right hand side, and the Thanks was cut from the same designer paper as the central die cut from a scrap of Kaisercraft 6-1/2" paper pad "Yuletide" and the cutting die was with the embossing folder.    Hope you all like this card, and as usual your comments are always greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann

garden

Hi there everyone, here is a card I made for a friend to give her daughter who loves gardens, I made it a 5-1/2" square card, and used a Twiddlybitz stencil to make the brick wall, Chromacyl texture paste coloured with Jo Sonja Acrylic paint Brown, and I stirred it all up and it made a beautiful shade and layered it on with a butter knife, I have texture tools but find I have more control with  the butter knife.   I cut out a Cheery Lynn picket fence from white cardstock, and a Tim Holtz Frameworks Trellis, and used a Fancy That small flourish, I used also a Cheery Lynn daisy flower die to make the grass, and stuck a piece of lace over that with a small satin bow to the right hand side.   I made the roses from Marianne's Creatables and Dienamics roses dies, and the small blue flowers were made with two punches, a medium and a small flower, coloured with water colour paint and stuck together.   the small window has lace behind it and it is a plastic one that was a gift.    I made the envelope from a piece of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper and used the Score-Pal instructions to make an envelobox to the size required and because Annette has bad arthritis in her hands I took a piece of ribbon from my stash and wound it around and made a big bow, so she can pull it off easily, and not have to worry about tying up the bow again..   Thanks for visiting today, and as always your comments are always appreciated, Jasann

Easter Crazy Bird

Hi there everyone, I saw an image on the net, and I absolutely loved it but forgot to save the inspirational name of the person who made the card, I don't know who you are, but a big THANK YOU to you for the inspiration.   I used Tim Holtz Retro Circles Texture Fade, and shaded it will several distress inks with blender tool, there were pinks, yellows, blues and greens, I cut some grass from card with a cheery lynn spiky flower die and punched some little flowers out of some scraps from my work table, I stamped the crazy bird and water coloured it with distress inks, and cut a circle and bunny ears by hand and stuck them on after shading them with the pink distress ink and I cut a little bow from the movers and shapers bunny die.  and I hand cut and printed with a gel pen, the sentiment. I am happy that it turned out as nicely as it did.  Hope you all like it, and as always your comments are greatly appreciated, and thanks so much for visiting today, Jasann  PS:  This is the 14th embossing folder used in my personal challenge to use all my embossing folders.

Hi everyone, I have gone back to scrapbooking, and made this 12 x 12 inch page of my daughter and I, and used a piece of card stock from a pad that I bought some time ago at Big W in Raymond Terrace, NSW, there are some lovely papers in it and this one I used is called Dream, and I used a Cheery Lynn Designs die called Steampunk Corners and also used some Joy and Spellbinders butterflies in a co-ordinating colour and used some silver Kindy Glitz to decorate the butterflies, and used a Spellbinders Shapealities Fancy Tags Two for the journaling tag.  This photo was taken in January 2016 when I was visiting my daughter at her home in Queensland,  in her backyard and we had a wonderful time together, a whole lot of fun!!!!!!!  thanks so much for visiting today, and as always your comments are very greatly appreciated,   Jasann
