Sweet Doll

Hi There, I hope you New Year's Eve was very happy, and that everything will be great for 2015, here is a sweet doll card for my Daughter's Niece, it is an A5 card with a sweet doll stamp from Prima, I cut out a dress from a sheet of paper from a Cre8tive Paper Pad 150mm x 150mm, for the dress and head band and used a scrap of pale ink floral paper for the socks, I coloured her hair with a Stabilo Pen, and cut out the trellis from a Tim Holtz Alterations Die and cut out some greenery with a Fancy That cutting die that I have had for ages and adhered some flowers from Kmart, also had for ages too and the tiny flower on her waist has also been in my stash for a long time. The grass was a gift from Meg, Thanks Meg.  Just hope the little girl will like her card.

Steampunk Birthday

Hi there everyone, todays card is for a male relative who is having a birthday, I used black cardstock in a square 5-3/4, and used some old corrugated packaging which I cut to size and tore off all the siding and painted it with white gesso, when it dried I shaded the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and used a Cheery Lynn corner which I shaded with Distress Stain in Antiqued Bronze, I used this stain on the Umbrella Man and the "40" also the plaque behind the numbers, I used a white gel pen to outline the umbrella, the man, and the numbers, the clock is the Weathered Clock die and the gears are Cheery Lynn.   I am hoping our guy will like this card, I have made a pocket on the inside with Graphic 45 "Good ol" Sports" paper for the gift card to be inserted.    Thanks for popping in!!  and hope you all have a Happy New Year!!!

Thanks

Hi Everyone, I haven't posted recently as I have been in Queensland visiting my beautiful daughter and her family for Christmas, and found inspiration for this card from Shari Carroll and thought it would be an excellent design card to send to my daughter and her family because I had a lovely time, I used a white card base with an old "Thanks" stamp, I cannot remember where it came from and I stamped it in several Memento colours, and used the Memory Box cutting die to cut out the "Thanks" and cut out three pieces and stuck them together and also cut the thanks into the card, and then added the insert "Thanks" into the card, where I think it looks pretty good, I also added several coloured sequins for interest.   Hope you all like this,  and I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a Happy New Year!!!!   Thanks for stopping by!!!

with Sympathy

Hi everyone, It has been a few days since I posted, I have had a few things to make, however this card is a sympathy card for a family member who died this week at age 87 years.   I used a nice creamy embossed card and shaded the edges with dandelion Memento Ink Pad, and used Graphic 45 paper to make the Hibiscus flowers, and used a pale green stick on pearl for the centres, and I used a medium green card, shaded with Cottage Ivy, also a Memento ink pad, the trellis is made from a dull purple colour with Tim Holtz cutting die and the flourish stems are cut from a dull green paper, with a die-namics die, the flowers are also Die-namics and the sentiment is an Elisabeth Crafts die.   Just hope the family will like it, on the inside I used yellow paper and put a Cheerylyn cut out Think of and a memory box you.  Just hope the family will like this.

Celebrate the season

Hello everyone, here is a cover for a mini album I made today, I make an album every year to encompass December and all the things that happen in this exciting month.   This year I used some packaging, from a cardboard/corrugated to fit the size I wanted, the front and back covers are 7-1/2" x 9-3/3" and the spine is 2" thick, and this will enable me to put quite a few pages in with Flip up's and pockets.   I used old Christmas Paper which came last Christmas in a magazine and some green cardstock for the spine, which I embossed with Tim Holtz embossing folders "Snowman" and "Snowflakes" these are old embossing folders but I really like these ones.   I cut the wording  from Glitter Card with a Cuttlebug letter set "Typewriter Machine"   and the numbers with Qickutz "No 48 Number Set"  I have had both these sets for several years.  I found a small piece of red ribbon and tied a bow and cut out a No.25 from a Kaisercraft Paper Pad and I cannot remember what it is called, the Pointsettias  were cut with a Marianne's Craft die and the stamens were cut with green cardstock, and the little red glitter flowers were in a pack that I bought from Kmart, years ago and mislaid in all my stash,   I shaded the snowman and snowflakes with a light covering of VersaMagic archival chalk ink pad, "Cloud White" to highlight them. The hanging ornaments were a gift from a friend and had to be coloured with Tim Holtz mini Distress Inks "Barn Door"   I am entering this into the Craft Hoarders Challenge #21 - Celebrate the Season, http://gloriadesigns.challenge.blogspot.com.au

dimensional star

Hello everyone, Here is todays project, it is a dimensional star for the Christmas Tree.   I used an mpress cutting die of a star, www.mpress.com.au and scored each of the five points from the point to the centre, and then puffed it up and glued both pieces together to give a nice fat star, I used Graphic 45 paper, Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper and cut out the pine leaves from a Marianne's Creatable cutting die, www.mariannedesigns.nl I am happy with this star and am entering into More than one score #11 anything goes with your scor-pal and more than one score http://scor-pal.blogspot.com.au    Hope you like it, by the way I adhered the twine on the inside before joining the two pieces together.   Thanks for visiting.

Birds on a Wire

Hi everyone, here is todays card which I made to enter into Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #137 (feathered friends) 1,2 or more birds to be used. http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au.  I used plain white cardstock for the base and also the topper, which I dry embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder "Polka Dots", I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Tool, and shaded the edges with Memento Ink Pad, "Cottage Ivy", I used a Movers and Shapers cutting die "Mini Pine Tree and Holly Set" also by Tim Holtz, for the holly leaves and used a generic office punch with red card stock for the berries, and I used a Sizzex 12" cutting die "Birds on a Wire"   I really like these little birds as they seem to have a lot of movement in them.   I shaded them with Bahama Blue and Dandelion, both of these inks are also Memento ink pads and used a branch with leaves that was a gift from a friend, I don't know which company made this die.   I used a piece of scrap paper on the lower section of the card which was a piece out of my scrap basket and put a piece of red and green ribbon stuck down with double sided tape and rounded the corners with a corner punch, I do like this card and hope you do too,, Thanks for visiting!!
