Stripes and Dots

Hi there everyone, hope it won't get too hot for you today, weatherman predicts 30o C today for the last day of September, I am staying inside and playing with my cards, and I made this card for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, Strips and Dots, http://merrymondaychristmaschallenge.blogspot.com.au, and used plain white cardstock for the base of the card with striped paper from my stash, it was the last piece and the dots from the kaisercraft 6" paper pad, Christmas Collections, I cut the Ornaments from the Spellbinders Heirloom Collection, Clear Stamps, I stamped on the other side and cut them out, as the stamps have patterns on them and I didn't want the patterns, I cut the ornament toppers from some gold corrugated card which I also used for the hangers, I used jewelled brads to hold them all together and I used the Seasons Greeting cut from some scrap paper with a Marianne's Creatable cutting die, and I used some silver stars from my stash, I have had these for ages but I thought they looked ok.   I used a gold gel pen to draw around the ornaments to accentuate them and also drew a bit of string from the bottom of the ornaments, just to decorate them.   Hope you all like them, I don't usually do mono cards, this is the first for a long time.

Birthday Doll Card

Hi there everyone, I made this card/tag for my Great Niece, I had forgotten to send her a card which I have done since she was born, so I made this with a stamp from the Prima Doll collection, and used various papers that I have in my stash, I am pretty happy with this, I added hand made flowers and punched butterflies with a punch that is maybe about 20 years old, I have had it just forever. The flowers were made from di-namics cutting die mini royal roses and spellbinders roses die, all in all it seems to have worked.

Nordic Christmas

Hi there everyone, hope you are all enjoying the sunshine that we are here in Australia.   I made this card this morning to enter in the September Theme Challenge "Nordic Christmas" at 52 (Christmas) card throwdown challenge BlogSpot, http://52cct.blogspot.com.au I originally made a huge mistake with this card, after I adhered the designer paper I found that I had stuck it upside down, so had to cut off the front of the card, and make a new base, so far so good!, after adding the ribbon and the little tag with the reindeer on I stuck it all on the base, and I then cut out the sentiment, all these papers came from a paper pad from Bo Bunny "Silver and Gold Collection"  this is a 6" x 6" pad, just right for card making!

Office Dolly

Hi there everyone, I seem to be enrapted with this little doll stamp, I made this one this morning to enter into the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #16 "who loves schooland office supplies" http://gloriadesignschallenge.blogspot.com.au, I used a large tag and stamped the background with a handwriting stamp from Hampton Art, I don't know the name of the set but the number is ICO188, and I made the droll from Prima Doll stamp, and I used a medium brown cardstock for her hair and a Paper from Maya Road, 6" x 6" paper pad "Life's Journey" I also cut the typewriters from the same paper pad.  I used an eye chart from Graphic 45 "The Curiosity Shoppe" paper pad, I used two slide on paper clips, a pink butterfly and a blue star also I used a clip-on paper clip, and 5 little rhinestone style flowers, a clock from Bo Bunny paper pad "Timepiece Collection"  and 3 butterflies cut from a punch and a nice little card with flowers. I call her the Office Dolly , I enjoyed making this tag, and hope you like it too.!!!

Doll Tags

Hi there everyone, have been crafting all afternoon today, and made these two tags, I used the Prima Tags for the background, adding an extra card to the back to extend the sides of the tags, I shaded the edges with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar mini ink pad, and added some scrap pieces from a couple of Graphic 45 paper pads to the edges, I also added some pretty paper from the Fairy Belle paper pad which was a free gift from Australian Simply Cards Magazine, and I stamped the dolls onto beige coloured card and the dresses are in a pale pink and the other in pale mauve paper, they look better in real life, the camera flash fades the colours and I am not sure of how to disable the flash on my new camera, will have to check it out on You Tube  how to do that. The hair was stamped onto brown paper and cut out by hand.  The wings on the dolls were cut out with Tim Holtz Heart Wings cutting die from a paper doily that I bought at the IGA supermarket.   The Post cards are from the Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar paper pad and the stamped sentiment is with a Stampendous stamp that I have had for a long long time with Tim's mini ink pad Barn Door.   The flowers are cut from Cheery Lynn and Spellbinders dies and the little butterflies are cut from various Graphic 45 scraps, the gold hearts were a gift from another crafty friend and I used Kaiser craft basic pearls and gems to decorate the head bands and waists on the dolls.   Am pretty happy with these and will make some more for my friends.

Hope  you like this card!
