Santa's Sleigh

Here is santa's sleigh, the inspiration is from an item on Graphic 45 site, made by Gentleman Jim.   I found that the size was a bit big, when I make it again I will make it a bit smaller, I didn't have a lot of the die's that Jim has and just put a few pieces of glitter and was lucky I had a little santa who sat on a shelf, a bit disappointing but will do for this Chrissie.   I was able to use a lot of my  left over christmas scrap paper.
I made the wheels out of circles where Jim had lovely flourishes.   and I put a piece of heavy cardboard ribbon holder on the base to hold it up.

Kickn Rubber no. 1

This is a male card, I have need of a lot of male cards and used a new embossing folder, Spellbinders M Bossing "Kickn Rubber" I heat embossed the image with Tim Holtz distressing ink and powder "Silver" and used a Marianne cutting die for the sportscar. It seems to work, although I had trouble with the stack in the Big Shot, and instructions they gave did not suit my machine so I had to play around until I got it right.

Gingerbread Man

Here is another Christmas Card I made today with a Sizzex Embossing folder "Snow and Trees", together with the free Gingerbread Man cutting die that came in this set, I also used a merry christmas cutting die from the Quickutz Jolly Christmas set.  The colours seem to work even though this card was also made from scraps from my scrapbox.

dove christmas card

I made this striking card from scraps from my scrap box using a new sizzex embossing folder "Snow Flurries" together with a new Sizzex die "Dove", I also used Tim Holtz cutting die "Townscape" on the edge and a Quikkutz die from the Jolly Christmas set, I think the unusual colours work, and it was a trial that I am happy with.

Christmas tree card 2

Here is a new Christmas Tree card, the inspiration is from www.stampwithtami.com she has a video on her site, and I covered the front of the card with some scrap pink christmas paper and used the largest cutting die from Spellbinders Nestabilities small classic scalloped rectangles for the sparkly pink square, I cut one of Tim Holtz "Reindeer Flight" and edged it with Vintage Photo distress ink and used a kaisercraft basic stick on pearl for the eye.  I used a quickutz die for the Merry Christmas and the paper at the back of that was a scrap from   6 x 6" paper pad from a "Hot off the Press" "Forever Christmas"
pad, for the inside I used the green card stock, to Tami's instructions and used scrap paper for each side of the inside of the card, I will probably make some more of these where I get the tree less crooked.

Christmas card 1

This  is a new Christmas Tree Card, The inspiration is from the www.sizzex.com site where they use a special cutting die, but I don't have that so tried to cut the tree etc., by hand, and here it is.   I used the Tim Holtz embossing folder " Holiday Words"  to emboss the front  of the card and used some scrap paper for the left hand side of the card front.   On the inside I used a piece of green paper for the tree and used a smal scissors to cut it out.  I used a piece of paper from a 6-1/2" paper pad Kaisercraft "December 25th" for the left hand side and I used a stamp Christmas Joy from a Christmas Kit "Cardmaking in easy steps"  I enjoyed making this and will probably make some more.

flip it card

this is a "flip it" card made from instructions on "Darlene's Designs" I used Tim Holtz distressed ink pad "Vintage Photo" to shade around the edges and used a variety of stamps to ink the images, I am not too keen on this style of card, but it did work this time.

Stand up Card ( POP UP)

This is the second card I made today, it is a standup card. I got the inspiration from the Stamping, Papercraft and Cardmaking magazine , vol 18, No.11, and the instructions from Creative Cardmaking Issue 40.  I embossed the base with a floral cuttlebug embossing folder and cut the tag from a template for a tryptch card that I got from Milo Lilja http://milolilja.net, I cut a window  with a Sizzix Movers & Shapers die "window panes" that I have had in my stash of cutting dies for a long time, I used the Marianne die "Pointsettia" to cut out the flower and backed the window with small christmassy images.I used red Kindy Glitz for the sparkle
around the edges, it was an interesting card to
make.

christmas card/santa's coat

Have been busy today with my card making, the first card completed is Sants's coat, an easy card to do.   I used black cardstock with a christmassy red card stock, I used white for santa's beard, with kindy glitz for the sparkle on his beard, three little black dots for his buttons and a black belt with a fancy buckle cut from a Memory Box die "Marietta Buckle", I am happy with this one

Thank you card

Here is a card I made today as a Thank You card, I made it with a plain white card stock but used "Bird Song" Graphic 45 paper, I really love this paper, and I used a red ribbon on the right hand side and a red flower on the sentiment that I stamped.
